Hello there,

I've looked at my service schedule, and apparently I need to get the valave clearances checked. I'm not really bothered on having a dealer stamp and I've checked brakes, did oil 2k miles ago, chain is good, suspension is OK etc.

Is it fairly easy to do? I think I have a workshop manual somewhere off a website, would they be sufficient? Got a decent set of tools, but I do need a feeler gauge :)

I thought the valve clearance check is in the 14,500 miles service? I could be wrong but I checked my schedule yesterday as my 7500 mile is due and according to that the only difference between a 4000 mile and a 7500 mile is spark plug replacement.

I thought it was just a quick check, then the 15000 is an adjustment.

Guess I'll order me some spark plugs -> runs to search!

15000 mile is check valve clearances and adjust if required.Easy to check yourself, and yes you do need a feeler guage. They rarely need adjusting, but if they do that is quite difficult and probably best left to an expert.Thats what I would do anyway.
