I mowed my lawns about 1/2hr ago .. I can now hear more lawnmowers going (my neighbors) ... talk about keeping up with the Jones's, what is that all about?? :D

Is lawn mowing as infectious as yawning?? Or do people really care that much if their lawn looks less freshly cut than mine?!?! :D

I might go do some topiary on my front bush* later and see what they do then ...

I think you and your neighbours should get jobs ;)

Only joking lol.

A row of messy lawn doesnt look bad, but when one person cuts theres, people realise it look much nicer so do theres also.

I dug my lawn up and replaced it with flags....did nothing for traction under the bike tyres in winter. hehe

Mine were done yesterday.

they get done whenever I can. With this weather it is a lottery. I go into war with the weeds/moss every year and loose.

Front looks good. But having a dog makes the back a bit patchy

I can tell you're a southerner. In our neck of the woods, you 'cut the grass' rather than 'mow the lawn':D

You have far too much time on your hands. Go get a job;)

I didn't cut the grass or mow the lawn. Today, I went out and shaved the hedges!

Couple of close ones on the tight lanes around Slaidburn where the foliage is a bit overgrown!

flags??? .. you mean shingle?

As for others, how does mowing my lawn indicate I have too much time on my hands?!!? I mean it probably does, but just wondering how ...

 Funny you should say this....

I wait until my grass is dry. When its dry its good to cut. So i cut.

Within 30 minutes of me finishing, you can garantee you will hear another 2-3 mowers going  We've joked about it being a cool trend i must be setting......

But im just cutting my long assed grass? Maybe I need a goat?

I could do with a goat- milk and food when I kill it and eat it, plus it would also cut my grass! I don't have any grass in my house though.

Why not just try start lawnmower up for a while, not actually cut grass and see if they all set about it?

My lawn is knackered! What with the previous owner ruining it, verna pouring weedkiller over the edge of it and the general fact that the soil is rubbish, oh and the squirrels digging it up to hide nuts, its got no chance. Its full of moss, and weeds, but does look ok when cut!

Wish one of my neighbours had mown their lawn, would have reminded me to mow mine. (yes, mow, not cut - I'm from Warwick don't you know!!)

You boys and girls could always take your dogs for a walk rather than being lazy and simply opening the back door and letting them do toilets in the garden ;)
