It’s with a weary head and a heavy heart I have to say the time has come…

For Sale is my 2001 (Y-reg) Curvy SV650s. Yellow.

It has been treated well, has had lots of TLC, and LOTS of money spent on it.

Currently 20600 miles on the clock
Taxed until October 2009
MOT until August 2009

Regular services carried out
New chain and sprockets June 2008
New battery in May 2008
New front brake pads March 2008
New Rear tyre Feb 2008 – Rear: Bridgestone 021, Front Bridgestone 020 (in need of a new front tyre soon-ish)
New clutch pads June 2008
New Clutch cable March 2008
New brake lever March 2008

Mods:
Powerbronze dark smoked double bubble screen
Red Fox rear hugger
Powerbronze Carbon look tail tidy
Mini carbon look indicators front and rear
R&G crash bungs
Toonyank’s fancy custom bar ends
Philips MotoVision H4 bulbs
CCC stainless steel dual outlet oval exhaust (sounds obscenely awesome), baffles available under the seat

I also have a radiator cover which I have not yet fitted, will throw that in too.

I have all the paperwork (V5, MOT, tax, service booklet, receipts etc etc etc), and three keys.

The reason for this sale is that I have my eye on something else that I really want but there is just no way in hell I can keep both.

Ideally this needs to go ASAP before I change my mind.

£1300 please.

And before anyone says anything, I know she's not clean, that was on a ride today. Will rectify!

I'll vouch for this one being a really good and well loved example

So who's next to join the somewhat prestigious 'yellow curvy club'?

Don't be sorry D - as the seller you're obliged to no-one but yourself - would appreciate a prompt nod from you if Neeja doesn't buy though, as I'm certain we can work out something that suits us both.

I feel slightly cheeky registering for an SV650 forum -just- before getting an SV, it's almost like tempting fate...

Ah well! I'm too excited! Had me a Honda Hornet 600F-S (2000) until some swine stole it from outside our house in the middle of the night :( So now I get to grab a bargain SV (which is what I wanted in the first place). I think Neeja will leave a deposit on Wed, if all goes well as he's looking it over for me, but I'll make sure. Other than that I'm sat waiting for the cheque to clear my account. As soon as it does I'm going to the bank, and getting it to you asap :) If I can get it all sorted before the weekend I might be joining the rideout (if I'm not too hungover) if not :( then hopefully next time!

Good luck with the CBR!

Disaster. And now he's registered on the SV forum because he's likely to own an SV.

And with THAT picture, too. God help us.

welcome to the forums matey, I was registerred on here for about 6 months before I got hold of an sv (had a boring honda cbf 600 before that). Just to avoid disapointment, it could be worth ringing the bank and letting them know you're going to withdraw the cash? I had to phone a few days in advance and tell them which branch, what day and roughly what time I'd be withdrawing my cash when I bought my bike (mind you it was just under 3 grand so a big wad).

Hope all goes well with the purchase/sale and you can make it out for the ride :D

Well, the money has cleared my account now, so it's just a case of heading to the bank tomorrow to withdraw it. HSBC are gonna love me £3000 in over 2 days and about £1800 of that vanishes in 2 days. I spoke to them a minute ago, they said I'm okay to withdraw the funds without making an appointment, I just need to take the usual stuff, in (photo ID, etc) would sort it today, but I'm in work 10am 'till 8pm :(

All we need now is to convert Neeja and mine's housemate to buy and SV too, and we'll be laughin'. I'm debating secretly fitting bar raisers to his ER-6f until it becomes an 'easy rider' hehe

THANKS FOR THE WELCOME

I am now looking to sell my XT660R as I went for a ride on my mates SV the other week... I felt the need for speed. This bike is my limit - any other model (or faster), and I will need to buy a coffin as well.

Anyways, I am on the lookout again

+ how does the status change, i.e. the little dot just under my name - it is currently RED (what does that mean?)

hiya mate welcome to the site, not sure about the red dot thing? It's showing "Junior Member" under your username at the moment (in the bit where mine says megaposter = I am a sad)...

Welcome to the org :)

As far as I can see the red dot indicates you're invisible when you're online, so people can't see that you're on. When it's grey it means you're just offline, and green is for people online.

Anyone know the best way to rage at a bank (without being arrested)?

I swear they are out for giggles mostly. I mean, I wouldn't think that I'm asking too much to be given correct information about my account. I called them yesterday to ask if a cheque had cleared my account. The automated service advised me the funds were available. Not content with this I proceeded to talk to a customer service agent and asked him if the cheque had cleared, if I could withdraw my funds and how. I was advised 'yes' to the first two questions, and then to withdraw all I needed was my cheque book and photo ID. "No problem" I thought. So, being paranoid and hating banks, I called to make sure all was okay this morning, only to be told by another employee, that "no" the money hadn't cleared my account yet, although it would be availavle from 9am tomorrow, and the reason for this? "interest purposes"

"So...let me get this straight? ... You're not going to give me my money, which you promised to do yesterday, because you want to make more money?"

Absoloute muppets. So now I have to wait a day longer, and put people out just because my bank sucks. :( All I want is an SV. Why bank!? Whhhyyy?

The shiny yellow demon (also known as Spongebob) has found a new home with John. Please look after her, she will be sadly missed!!

Of course she'll be looked after! She looks great parked next to Eileen, and you retain visiting rights every other weekends ;)

Darn tootin' :D

Now, all I need to do is spray paint her Orange and fit pom poms to the bar ends... *ducks* Just kiddin' with ya ;)

She'll have a good life!
