It's easier when you turn the bars to the right and then pull back with your left hand on the right grip and right hand under the right subframe rail. I'm only a little bloke, but I used to turn my Thunderace, ZX9R and Gixer thou round like that all the time, and the SV is easier to do.

I am a bit confused as to why the copper made the marker move on ?? I dont think he has the right to do that if you are pulled over safely and not causing an obstruction (assuming not a clearway or double yellows). What do the boys in blue think on here ?

Unfortunately the marker was on double yellows (someone will correct me if i`m wrong)

i did not get that far, but i think there was talk of loud cans and small plates (the copper just warned us), if i was told to move on, i would do as i was told. as i think the copper was pretty good, although he did wave 4 fingers at me and shout 40.............. i was only doing 36?

Yep he did comment on the small plate.... I can`t blame the marker for getting off. I wouldn`t have hung around either!

By the time our little Bangor crew went past there was no sign of said marker. But there was the police man standing there with crossed arms and a ****ed off look. Made me laugh.

Ive just been on google maps and seen where we were supposed to turn off and where we stopped. It is a very very long way.

Marker was on double yellows as stated, 5 yards from the junction with a loud can burbling at the copper and a small plate pointing in his direction. It was pretty illegal parking :D Said copper came over for a word re: plate and after words of advice, marker was sent on his way. By that time the Bangor lot had sailed past anyway....

I did split the car park clip up, I just forgot to delete it the other section. By the time I had noticed it was already up on YT and couldn't be arsed to delete it, edit it, upload it and wait for it to turn to HQ.

There's going to be 1 video a day and the next lot will be riding ones. Tomorrows is my personal fav, Thursdays is a bit boring and Fridays is good. Just to think I'm only on clip 5 of 14. :p

Actually, he was a pretty decent bloke. Stopped us for being a tad quick, pointed out lack of tax disc on display, illegal font on number plate, illegal cans, then told us to sod off...............after asking what the extra Badger-produced stickers were all about:D

Actually he was a law unto himself. He explained that on Sunday there is supposed to be zero tolerance but still he exercised discretion.

I went past him and he popped his radar gun down , held 4 fingers up and was shaking his head . I SWEAR on my family`s life I was doing 37mph , I had seen the 40 limit on the hill where Hovis was marking AND the massive one that was in Red Shell Grip on the actual A5 itself . No idea what his gun told him but I was NOT doing over 40 . Makes you think about their Radar doesn`t it ?

Oh and there were cars in front of me definately NOT doing 40 so I would have hit them if I was going any faster , kept a 2 second gap as per usual .

Well if you look at where the junction is that we pulled out from a standing start, and we were throttling back by the time we entered the village, makes you wonder.

Well I couldn`t go any faster due to congestion Mike . And I wouldn`t stop to challenge him as we were in a group ride and my exhaust was a tad loud LOL . Fair play to the guy he let everyone off . God knows what he meant , I just nodded in acknowledgement and got a wriggle-on out of there :D

Whilst I wasn't there for the events that unfolded, I can verify that some local officers don't agree with their cheif. Just that they can't do it openly.

I remember on BikeSafe, being told "30 is 30, 40 is 40, 50 is 50, and NSL is 60." After stopping for the first chat, I was told "Do me a favour, use your discresion about NSLs, I'll keep up." I wasn't the only rider out that day to be told the same.

Anyhow, nice vids :). Shame I had to miss the Sunday ride. :(

Pete you are right. Sorry wasn't thinking. Was trying to assertain what speed a bikesafe police officer deemed acceptable in ideal circumstances in a NSL zone.

So that when I do a bikesafe course I don't go tearing away and get pulled over by the same police officer that is trying to teach me to bikesafe :)

that's going to be the best person to ask anyway - again he might be cagey about answereing but he'll pobably give you a good idea. I would say if it was to start with an 8, you would have to have a very good reason, like a good swift overtake. Otherwise, somewhere in between ;)
