Just been on the phone to Quinn Insurance:

I need to change my address; will that affect my premium?

Yes sir, it will do
Now I've moved the bike from being kept on the road in a ****-hole area, to a crime free area - IN a garage!

SO why didn't my premium go down?
If I did the opposite you could guarantee I'd get stung.

(And as I'm badmouthing insurance companies, A Quote has been billing me for 12 months since I canceled the policy)

SO why didn't my premium go down?

Because they have you over the proverbial barrel - you have to change your address, or invalidate your insurance. Or cancel and lose no claims, or bend-over and pay whatever they say.

Did they try to tap you up for an "admin fee" too?

G2D - other than this are quinn generally good?

They seem to be coming out cheapest on gocompare.com

How much did it go up by?

It didn't go up, but it was £150 cheaper when I generated the quote for a 'garaged bike' :(

Quinn are alright actually. Pretty stroppy about proof of NCD and the like though.

You'll get the admin fee but the premium will go down. Companies don't pick and choose their premiums, at least we don't at Saga, but still; the cheaper cost will nullify the admin fee and depending on your premium now I'd expect between 10-30% off.
