Hasnt done very much only just under 4k miles for an 8 year old bike.
and thats also not a bad price for the bike compared 2 what some dealers charge for them!

Could someone give me a serious opinion on this? He wants to swap and I have a DRZ sitting unused in my garage. worth a similar amount....

TBH pretty much same condition as my black 2000 SV when I bought it last year.....just mine had a much shinier downpipe. There has been several that have commented on how well mine looks ... until I squashed the left panel a month back
:-(
Also I suspect the engine on this particular one has been sprayed with WD40 or something to get the best look for the photo.
Oh and I paid 1800 for mine...but it had 28000 on it

What would you value your DRZ at? (about £1500 & I would say go for it)
'Cos I predict this won't sell for £2K - not at this moment.

Won't know if you don't try mate. Doesn't hurt to ask does it mate and you never know, might be what he wants.

Keep the DRZ. SVS + VFR seems a bit pointless IMO

Its not mint, its got a damaged fairing (in several places) and £2000 is way OTT for a curvy ... don't care what the millage is ;)

What about the scuff on the cheek of the fairing ... and the scrapes on the mirrors he described .. he has either been very careless near walls .. or its been down the road 4 sure ... the forks are pitted too (again declared) ...
I'd expect a go on his GF, his sister and his mum too to part with £2k for that ;)

exactly, the black 2000 curvy S has an almost black engine, its got a grey tinge to it. Its not a shiny black like this one appears. They only look like that when they are sprayed with WD etc.
My god I sound like an anorak:shock: or i stare at mine way too often

Hmmm ok, I'm getting a theme here . My DRZ is worth (IMO) £2K, so not gonna sell my self short.

At least one of the pics are from an different time. In one it's not got pillion hangers and the zorst mount is different.
Hasn't put how many owners it's had either. Surely if it was a one owner bike he'd have made a big thing of it.
Certainly not worth 2k.
Be difficult to justify that even if it were Blue! :D

Sorry to post this here but I found it after I was playing through Ebay after looking at the link. This is a STEAL!
RSV swing arm and exhaust system fitted. Done a few miles but the engines are good for a LOT of miles!
Hope no one take offence to me posting this here. :D

Aye... Apparently. The thing is the standard Falco engine is a 1998-2000 spec RSV engine, 2001-2003 the cam intake profile changed a little and the intake valves went from 36mm to 38mm. Either way should be good.

This is the proper mounting for a Micron...

This isn't, would be intereted to know why he changed as he still needs the spacers on the pegs....

Althought, you should still be able to get the hanger on the first one, not sure though...

Pillion Dave, Pillion...
I nearly made this comment in the other post;
"The pillion pegs would need to be spaced out with either of the mounting methods, so why was the original mount replaced?"

Alas i have arrived..... its my bike and may i now take your questions.
1) shiney engine querey - I use ACF50 to keep everything protected not just to spruce things up for the pics. Its highly recomended by the way especially on suzukis.
2) Previous owners: From memory as im at work, one and a trader before me. Previous owner had it serviced pretty much every year regardless of mileage.
3) no, there are no goes on my girlfriend or mother - You would probably want a refund anyway.
4) Picture times: Yes one was before the fairing lowers were added and was the only pic i had of underneath. didnt realise it would be an issue.
5) DRZ for SV swap : Wouldnt have been interested im afraid, i just sold my 625 KTM because I didnt get on with the style of it.
6) Can Hanger: The bike came with the bar when i bought it as opposed to the micron hanging bit. Not sure why, not sure im really that worried about it.
7) Right hand fairing nicks : Again there when i got it so i would be speculating as to their origins. There is no damage to bar ends, rear section, swing arm, forks etc to point to a spill. Id place my money on careless storage.
I think i answered all the queries there.....

You see the problem here, as I see it, is that he's probably got no shame even after you actually turn up

Well, he got £1850 for it, so it goes to show there is still good money to be had for a clean (ish) example.
Maybe the fact that the seller was in London helped with the price.
