Hello everybody, hope you are all well.

Having been speaking to Dangerous Dave we are now looking for a 'secret' part from Ducati to rig the speedo onto the back wheel of a Curvy. Dave has used this part since 1999/2000 to run his speedo off of on his Beasty. I know there are other methods, but as Dave explained to me he has never had any problems with this arrangement and never had to replace a part.

So, anyone know where to find an online parts microfiche for the 748-996 series Ducati's? Also are there any UK based online part suppliers for the same please?

Thank you

Geoff

The parts catalogues are online here

http://www.ducati.com/en/bikes/service/parts/2001.jhtml?family=parts

There is no dealer in the UK that we know of that you can order parts through the net as we can with Robinsons for Suzukis.

The speedo on the Ducati SBKs are cable driven off the front wheel.

Sorry Fizzwheel, couldn't find it.

Thanks Pete just what I was looking for. I was told not to worry about the cable speedo set up, it is component from the system I need apparently. I was informed you would be the one to answer the question.

Just another thought, i stuck a link up to a load of PDF manuals, iirc there were alot of ducati files on it, not sure if they were microfiche tho, will try and find it.

Shh.....

Yeap, fitted the SRAD front end in early 2000 I think and the speedo was done a month later (June 2000 at the latest) and it has not caused any problems. Works a treat and to date has been 100% reliable.

Geoff, answer your phone!!! I have the part for you!!!
