I was reading the uni newsletter the other day and some art department is looking for life models who will get paid a wage of £10 a hour :shock: It just made me wonder, how much would you have to get paid to sit in the niff in front of 15 watchful eyes for however long they ask? Any of you actually done it?

you can make a lot more than that with no clothes on...

I'd do it, as long as the title for the subject is "Just been swimming" ;)

lol probably not me personally but yes I have heard of some 'professions' which can earn a considerably larger sum in a much shorter time :lol:

I have done life drawing from the artist side..you usually get some fat bald hairy chested bloke with a little...ahem

I've done nakid ladies,,,as above

But every now and again you get a nice stud type guy and all the younger students go snigger snigger snigger behind the easel in embarrassment for some reason

I'm unable to be a life model due to the fact they haven't invented an easel big enough to hold the sheet of paper that would be needed. :lol: ;)

I went to a life class once , we had this HUGE art Teacher called Miss Probin , she took us all along and the model hadn`t turned up . She then exclaimed "I guess I`ll have to do it then" and reached for her top button on her rather "Flowery" blouse :shock: ....................... I was outta there before my easel had even hit the floor .

I did a lot of life drawing/painting when i was at art college. The model we usually got was an attractive 25 year old girl with large boobs. However, you don't look at the model in any kind of sexual way. She was interesting to draw because she was very curvy. Fat men were also interesting :shock: :lol:

it's hard to explain but they are are just a subject to drawn!

Binky

I have done this before. Was nervous to start with, but enjoyed everything, particularly th admirable glances. Only bad thing is holding the same position for long periods of time and sometimes the teacher asks unreasonable poses (as in uncomfortable...not suggestive)

I'm quite a young guy at uni and will definately seek to do more of this for a little money in the near future, there is lots of demand for younger models. =;

I suggest you all give it a go...i doubt you'll feel much else like it. :cool:

My head is hurting trying to figure out 'ex nearly step' :shock:
you used to be nearly married?

Yes. I inherited the three younger ones after their dad died and I started seeing their mum. I am the only dad the two younger ones have ever known as their real dad died in a car crash when they were very young -Daniel was only 4 months old and Gina was coming up to 2 yrs old (Jess has very vague memories of her father cos she was 4 when he died). Their mum and I lived together for 7 years all told from when Dan was 13 months, and I've been in regular contact with them since we split because we both didn't want them to lose another dad. They called me dad, still do, but I was never married to their mother. They regard me as more ex-step-dad than mum's ex-boyfriend - so between us we coined the term ex-nearly-step-dad.
