Looks really nice mate! Loving the colour!

Is it me or do those tyres look quite worn for 87miles?

had me worried for a second, i keep the bike on a carpet in the garage - picks up loads of crap when i'm wheeling it. They're fine ! was so worried at my 1st roundabout yesterday with 6 miles on the clock !

Another Gixer Junkie :) very nice bike... there are so many of you on the SV site now, if I wait long enough and play it right when you come to upgrade you will want to sell me it at a very low price LOL

Think it might be me just being weird. Proabably just look different because they are 'slicker' than SVs standard tyres!

No remapping with just a slip-on but with a system yes.. I've got a Yoshimura R55 slip-on on my K8 and it has a deeper growl and a better noise throughout the revs but isnt much louder. You'd need a system to sort that, i'm looking into a system at the mo from JHSracing. As for the sound of the standard it isn't bad but i got rid of mine to enhance the looks!!

Get them to declare it a gift, no import tax then.

Be careful though, a friend of mine did this but customs got hold of it and decided he had to pay the duty.

It doesn't work on purchases over a certain amount of money i was told,, £200 odd i think!!

well spotted - Dealer is supposedly posting the tax disc, they started saying some reason about not getting it but have assured me i'm taxed. There was no way i wasn't picking it up on sat. tax or no tax

SURE it handles and goes fast. But it dosn't have a topbox, heated grips or handlebar muffs.

So my bike is better than yours.

it's now done 1023 miles, been in the garage for 4 weeks as i'm a lightweight in the winter and won't ride unless dry and warm :smt083

feedback on it so far after the SV and having done 23 miles since the buke has been fully run in is:
it's soooo quick, acceleration is unbelievable - over 100mph in 2nd (thank you mr private arifield owner for the use of your tarmac !), handling is immense, you chuck it in and it just grips. front brakes are proper Bo i tell thee'. Back brake is ****e.

Getting used to the IL4 is a bit weird after the v-twin. With the V power is constant and the pick up is immediate. The IL4 is more like a powerband but hit 9k and then 12k and the bike loves it..

I still miss my SV though. I loved that little fella !!! :smt008

Oh, a sort of bit of advice - to make future serciving easier, might be a good idea to take certain parts off and grease them....particularly things that are common service items, like the brake calipers.

You go for replacing rear pads 30,000 miles down the road, you might find the pins take a while to come out :smt040
