Blacksmiths Head, New Chapel (http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/12/12403/Blacksmiths_Head/New_Chapel)

But feel free to edit it Viney if I'm wrong..

Not at all, you could well be right, but I'm under the impression it's a PB week.

Maybe.

Well it wasn't last time anyway, so it *might* be this time.

Perhaps.

Thanks Grinch but i shall be arriving on Squid's chariot of fire.

Ricky, i love Petts Wood. It's like a small bubble of village life in amongst Orpington, The (K)Crays and Bromley. 5 Minute walk to the trains and for such a small station the trains go to Victoria, Charring Cross, Cannon Street and Blackfriars! Awesomeness. The roads and houses are lovely and the local (Daylight Inn) does a wine list with most bottles at £6.99....and they give you the lid so you can take the bottle home if you don't finish it! I'm really happy there. (Sorry... i was an estate agent for a while and still get carried away talking about nice areas).

Got any pics? I recall it was pretty close to where I am...where you used to be...so am kinda surprised/intrigued! I have a mate in Beckenham and it looks quite nice there (though not quite village like)...but this sounds much more 'out in the country'. Google maps might show me what it's like but I doubt it!

I'm washing my hair... ;)

Hmmmmmmmm, a slightly longer journey home than expected, coming off the mini roundabout onto Bickley Park Rd, the bike done a rather nasty sharp "s" seriously threatening to throw me off, fortunately I managed to hold it, pulled over.

I think the innertube was sliced by the puncturing object (whatever it was) as the tyre deflated almost instantly throwing the tyre off the bead.

Called recovery and sat and waited about 40 minutes, watched an Orger go riding passed which surprised me somewhat, then Ben, Doug & Brian pulled up, they kindly stayed with me and chatted for 20 minutes or so until the recovery van arrived, all of us thought it wouldn't be possible to get a bike in the back of it, so I was expecting him to have to call another vehicle, but he carried a fold out bike trailer on board, really neat bit of kit, I got the honour of being the first bike to use it.

Cheers Mark.
