It is almost time to change my oil in my bike and I have 13,000 on it and was wondering what kind of oil to go with. I am a running Amsoil in my truck and and pleased with the results so I was thinking about running Amsoil's 10W-30 any suggestions?

Semi -synthetic is good. Motorcycle specific is good.

Searching for this can be a little tricky as "Oil" is a three letter word and thus not included in the search. However, this is done to death about once every week or 2.

Motorcycle oils are different from car oils. You need a motorcycle oil of 10w-40 viscosity, That means JASO MA and API SF or higher (SG, SH..)standards.

You may want to browse the web for pages such as the following: http://www.bikenomads.com/wiki/index.php/Do_not_use_car_oil_in_bikes

I would recommend any Bike specific 10w-40 semi synthetic motor oil.

I now open the floor to the community to pimp out their favoured colour / company of oil:

I even skimped so much as to put Hellfrauds oil in my bike, and nothing bad has happened....yet.

Don't use Fully Synthetic as it can cause clutch drag.
