I'll be there this Sunday (30th) wearing a T shirt like this one but with -Ralph- on front and back. If you happen to walk past come and say hello.

Going to the SPLASH (Sport and Leisure Aviation Show) on Sat in Hall 5 and bike show on Sun. FYI Suzuki will be giving out vouchers to pick up a free new oil filter at your local dealer, limited numbers.

Can anyone recommend a hotel/b&b close to the NEC? Looks like I'll be travelling there tomorrow

Accomodation at the airport or NEC is extortionate. Much cheaper to stay 5 miles away then pay a fiver or so each way by taxi, or if going by bike the parking is free.

or there is a travelodge in Yardley which is £51 a night. Don't think you'll get much cheaper than that if there are two of you as most B&B's charge per person, not per room. If on your own a B&B will be cheaper.

Alternatively the airport has a train station with a monorail to the NEC. Direct train up from London in the morning, back home again after the show. Have to say if only for one day thats the way I'd be doing it from London.

From what I understand this year they are building a custom bike live at the show.
there are the usual bike stands so you can sit on what you like,
theres countless market type stalls selling gear and bits.
the tv seller type stalls selling things like the little pink stick (anti fog thing that doesn't work, so I've been told)

Events:
Wall of Death
Thunderdome stunt show
Minimoto arena

I think the chances of getting a test ride are slim unless you are there early but I think getting on the mini motos and stuff is a bit easier.

There are numerous food places, think beer might be served in some of them :)

just from what I can remember anyhow. but I am easily amused by whats there so will spend the full day lingering around.

POP question!
Been to a few different conventions, but does this one require cash only or can you take a credit/debit card!
