View Full Version : Helloooooo
Hi everyone,
I'm new to your forum and new to motorbikes :). Doing my big bike test next week. Been thinking of what to buy and the SV650 Sport is at the top of my wish list....well at the mo! Any tips you can give me on what to look for would be excellent in the bike or the clothing. Do you all agree an SV would be a good first bike?
Thanks Bunks

Hi Bunks, welcome to the .org
The SV is my first 'proper' bike (albeit restricted :( ) and it's great!
With regards to clothing.. buy the best, best-fitting stuff. (if that makes any sense )
No point spending £1000 on kit that doesn't fit properly
welcome
watchout for the nutters

Hi :smt006good luck on your test next week. SV great choice.
Thanks to you all for the warm welcome. I've taken hovis's advice and had a look on the sale forum. I want one even more now. There's a lovely black K8 sport for £3500. Role on test day just hope I pass!!!!

Hey there, welcome to the forum.
My SV was my first bike, but I am not allowed to ride it because green men from space made me fall off on my test. I was trying to tell the voices to go away, but they INVADED MY MIND.
Anyway, good luck Kiddo. (don't buy a curvy... they make you smell of turnips!)
:smt006Hi Jayneflakes,
Curvy makes you smell of turnips!!!! I'll remember that. Thanks for the good luck messages from you all. :smt040

Good luck with the test:cool:
Welcome and good luck.
Where abouts in lincolnshire are you.......My old bike is for sale in the Honda dealer in lincoln, they have had it for ages now so I imagine you could haggle a good discount on it in the current climate.
The bike is perfect/immaculate and got a nice blueflame titanium can on it.

Do you all agree an SV would be a good first bike?
In the history of the Org we have never all agreed on anything, but get an SV anyway. :)
And welcome to the madhouse.
