Hello Everyone,

I'm new to all of this as i've only had my licence 1week. I just cant get enough of riding my bike SV650s K5. Wish i did my test years ago now. I've already started to order extras for it, rear hugger, front fenda, R&G crash sliders, lower fairing, all i need now is a tail tidy, new indicators and is there a company that does fork proectors?

Cheers Monty

Monty, if you are able to have random rides of a weekend and evening and fancy 2 play mates PM me and Kwak your phone numbers and we shall meet up with you. Kwak leaves me for dead and I am a snail so you should be somewhere in between no doubt. Offers there don't feel you have to accept.

Hi Bunks,

it's not to bad, cant compare it to anything as it's my 1st bike, every chance i get i'm out on it, getting more confident with it, it's light, quick(for a learner) there's alot of engine breaking but you'd expect that from a twin(so i was informed) from a novice i'd reccommend it as a 1st bike. I'm having plenty of fun on it:cool: So you feeling confident for your test?

I go when the rain isnt coming down while I can. At weekends in the afternoon and on an evening. Went out tonight on spur of the moment as it's been a nice day, but only over for a blast to Cannock and around about. Nowhere major, just to get more confidence on my bike.

Tried R&G for front fork protectors they only do them for the Sv1000. Looked at most companies but to no avail.

LOL I love the road from A51 to Uttoxeter !!! Was my fav road, and I agree I road back down A34 from Cannock and hated it. I must feel like you at the mo, the more miles we do the better it will get.

This time 3 weeks ago I couldnt go 500 yds on it so slow and easy does it. Hope to go for a bimble with ya soon, Kwak is good he blasts off then waits for half an hour down the road with a camera LOL ;)

Yeah the more confident we get the better we should get. hopefully. Got a couple of lads at work who keep asking me to go out with, Daves got a TL1000s(widow maker), the other Dave a Fireblade and Mick a Ducatti, so that should be fun>

No, both Curvy and Pointy. A poor design is the main cause, ask one of the engineering staff at R&G and they will tell you the same.

For the SV JHS bungs were the ones to go for, unfortunately no longer made and Motosliders are the the top on the list. Problem with these type is that you have to cut a hole in the fairing, not noticeable when the bung is on if done correctly.

Hi monty81
Feeling confident? Well to be honest not really! :smt090

I've only had 6 hours on a big bike so far. I did my CBT on a 125. I've got a five hour lesson on a er5 next Tuesday and then it's the big day on Wednesday! Oh, i'd never ridden a Motorbike beforehand! The instructor seems to think I can do it so he must know, doesn't he . I'll give it my best go but i'll be gutted if I fail. Just can't wait to go out and get bike!

Pleased your enjoying the SV.

Alright Bunks,

Same here mate, i never touched a bike before doing my CBT:shock:! You'll be fine, just try to think of it as another lesson(easier said than done). If you can handle the bike on the slow control you'll be fine. so this time next Wednesday you'll be:smt026

Alright Dangerous Dave,

Well i've had the R&G ones fitted, got my fairing fitted today, skidmarx one and it's ****! It looks cheap and nasty, so considering genuine Suzuki fairing or just a bekky pan. What do you reccommend?

Id say genuine suzuki lowers are best option, have a look on ebay for some bargain lowers.

if you buy from ebay make sure they come WITH the fitting kit, most people buy cheap lowers from ebay without the fixings then have problems.

Monty,

I had the fairing on my bike and now due to my accident have just the Suzuki belly pan, if you want to see a pic of them both let me know - lowers I had on were Suzuki originals too.

I quite like just the belly pan look now she named again, but the fairing were nice too ! FInances ain't it.
