how to strip paint......

off fiberglass?

one my model planes (yes nerd alert :salut:) i have a fiberglass cowling and i want to strip the paint off, trouble is its sprayed in fuel proof paint.

now what can i use to get it off without damaging the glass, I've tried most things including thinners and i cant get it to budge

any ideas?

Fine sand/glass paper?

yeah that works a little but its a funny kind of paint, sort of rubbery and it clogs up the paper

Ahh... that type, wet and dry maybe with some stripper?

will chemicals not damaged the resin and make it brittle?

I don't know, I think Maultin (http://forums.sv650.org/member.php?u=7341) works in the paint industry see what he thinks.
