Been a couple of similar threads on PH...

- Guy leaves his E46 M3 CSL in a car park, can't find it when he comes back an hour later, reports it stolen etc etc. Can't remember if it was him or the police that found it a few days later hahaha.
- Woman parks up her Mini in a nearby street (parking at a premium so not right outside house). Gets 'stolen' when she can't find it. Couple of weeks (I think) later she finds it in a nearby road...oh yeah...with steering wheel lock still on :smt043 insists to this day it was stolen and returned, or that the council towed it and then returned it, or something like that! Questions on how the steering lock was still attached (if it was stolen) are 'successfully' ignored...

My dad did it when he lived in London just after mum and him married. A week later the Police knocked on the door to tell him his car had been found in a pub car park undamaged and locked up - it was only then he remembered him and his brother had both been out on the lash and left the car behind when they got a taxi home. Apparantly my dad was so drunk he couldn't remember a thing about the night before and my uncle was back in Malta so dad couldn't ask him.
