Sh*te, stick to making cars.
Maybe they're thinking of entering motogp, a series they know they could succeed with a little help from fia.

I doubt this has been designed by Ferrari. Looks more like some 12 year-old's + a copy of 3D studio max wet dream.

why do concepts always look like ****? And why do the end production bikes which come out in the end always look nothing like the concept?

Its a concept in ugly.

By the look of that, the designer must be frothing at the mouth and in line to be put down.

we could swap the ferrari badge for a babybell logo.

concept: Definition. Something styled to get a reaction from the viewer and gauge how far a production model can push the envelope.
eg:
http://www.niot.net/niot_570/audi%20nuvolari.jpg

came out as
http://static.taume.com/image/2007-Audi-S5-1.jpg

similar but the accountants got involved and vetoed the 20" alloys and the complex glass areas in the interests of cost cutting.

all manufacturers work in this way and in reality the companies who produce a compromised product designed by a dtylist and engineer only you get two potential outcomes....

one mans vision of perfection. . . if a little pricey
http://www.carzi.com/wp-content/uploads/mclaren-f1-supercars.jpg

or one hell of a mess
http://www.autogazeta.com/c/1/b/fi99mul1.jpg

either way its a brave thing, though not too financially viable. look at toyota, they make some really dull looking cars but they sell by the boatload cos no one dislike
them.

eg.

became this.....

i can totally appreciate the concepts where they start off looking similar and end up being produced close to the original 'concept' but with bits trimmed off or designed differently. But when a concept design is released looking like the above bike (which I'm 99% sure if a fake fabricated by someone with too much photoshop talent and too much time on their hands) - and I have seen concepts released by the big 4 in japan, showing bikes which look very similar to the above, but the end results look more like a tweaked version of the previous years model - It makes me think, why bother arsing on with a concept drawing (including putting it on the net, mcn, various forums, and then bring out the end result which looks nowt like it?

Its a fight between stylists - accountants - engineers. All pull in different directions and have an influence on the resulting products.

Back before crash reg's and wind tunnels things were dictated by the stylists but now they have to accommodate the engineers more and more. Result faster safer cars/bikes but less beauty /soul

concepts are basically stylists letting loose without having to worry if its aerodynamic or cost effective. if the public reaction is strong enough the accountants and engineers will make it happen.

The Veyron was shown as a concept 4years before launch and the engineers had to make it work to the promised specs by "Mr Fishtrousers". . . .they laid off all the accountants on that project.

now I can imagine the veyron looking very similar to the original concept

What is the one at the back?

It looks like an F1 but the rear is too long.

Homologation for racing (extra length for stability etc.)
