wheelie bar
For doing vertical wheelies a la stunt riders?
Looks like.
Methinks SV is not the bike for such antics.
I've seen stunt guys using an SV before. Maybe not the ideal bike to use as a workhorse, but it's light & pretty crash proof.
Yeah, it's a stunt bar, put your foot in it etc.....

it also runs the oil circuit dry if you hold the front up for very long...
Guess they do something about the oil starvation problems before fitting one of those though :)

More than 10 secs....

Yah, but still not really long enough to justify fitting a 12 bar :D Having said that, they're mostly fashion accessories going by the bikes i've seen them fitted to, bit like nitrous bottles with no plumbing ;)

ummmmmm yea how easy would you say a sv is to wheelie ?

If you can't wheelie it pretty well anyway then why look at a bar? It's mostly for the very slow stunt stuff, normal road wheelies tend to be a lot faster and lower.

even on a 33breaker?

Yeap, the torque is still there....

hmm didn't know that. I never felt mine anywhere near lifting up on heavy acceleration, but anyway I won't attempt it I'm sick of having bikes in pieces.

Heavy acceleration no, but that's not really how you wheelie. The slow stuff is mostly "snapped" up with clutch.
Easiest way is to snap throttle shut then open again, even on 33bhp.

In first? Tried it in second before but nothing seems to happen.
Never got round to trying it in first!

Yup, first. About 6k.
Remember the bit that needs most force is the initial lift.

I had one of those 'how hard can it be' moments on the way home from work and this is the result.

I think I might need a little bit more training.

And then what? :p
Keep powering through and close the throttle to drop back down or drop the clutch or is it best using the back brake?

What I do during these idiot moments - Keep a steady throttle and control the front height with the rear brake.

I had another go at this today away from the public road. I just need to lift the front up a little more and then learn to power through it. Towards the end I started to get the knack but I also felt guilty for my SV. :D

I still don't think I'll be needing one of the 12 o'clock bars just yet.

I find those bars useless to be honest. Your heel always gets stuck in them, and I HATE unsnarling my hair from the chain.

the 12 bar was just a idea because i was gan get a cheap sv and use it for a stunt bike to say then i found out about the oil and decided not to.
but the wheelie side of things iv been trying and can get it up a bit but i havent got the nuts to try and rev it more :(

It depends on what you describe as Biggleswade, I call it just outside Biggleswade but you might call it inside. It's the roundabout on the B658 from Stamford to Upper Caldecote.

Nice find. I would have felt the same. I'd be worried about moving my handlebars to the wheels not aligned when I drop it back down....or a having a bit of a tankslap.
Te he he I can see why you said that but no it isn't but you are very close. :D
Far too many police roaming about Biggleswade for my liking.
Didn't look like Sandy, but maybe Potton

I editted my post because it's on the boarders of Biggleswade.
