Hi just fitted my r6 throttle tube just a quick question the plastic ring thats on the r6 tube does this go inside the housing or outside between the grip and switches?
also i have quite a large gap now between grip and bar end, and between the grip and plastic box housing the throttle cables etc. do they all end up like this?
must say i think its better but not as drastic as i thought

There's an extra flange (I love that word) on the R6 throttle tube that needs trimming away to get a Suzuki rubber grip or heated grips on. It's there because Yamaha grips have a moulded in recess to take it, but Suzuki ones and heated grips don't.

The only parts inside the throttle housing are the two sides of the bit the cable winds around, the other one outside the housing should be trimmed back and filed smooth.

"`Crevice' is a dirty word"

'Discharge' is one of my favourite 'wrong' words.

Isn't it funny how if you put a "d" on the end of that word it's ok for a hospital to say it to you, however, without the "d" you become a leper!

Erm thanks guys....i think
so the big round plastic washer type thingy (thats the official yamaha term) goes outside of the housing then
i filed down the end of the throttle stops and it appears to be getting full throttle
it does seem better the more i ride it but think i just want an on off switch instead of a throttle, 100% or nothing i think would make me happy
