Hi all,

with regret i have to sell my sv650s.

i am the 3rd owner and bought it off my friend. the bike is 2004 and has only covered 2200miles.

it is in immaculate condition with no stone chips even.

i have owned it for over a year and only done 1000 miles in my first year of riding. my friend had it for a year before me and he covered 1000 miles as well. he bought the bike from a forum , it was 2 yrs old and had 179 miles on the clock!!!

i just havent got time to ride it and would prefer for it to go to a good home.

it is absolutly standard, with service book one stamp at 650 miles.

superb opportunity to get an as new bike.

it is black in colour

i am looking for £2500 for it ( have been offered over 2k by local dealer)

cheers dave

Dave I think your gonna struggle to realise that money for it (as nice as it is) there's a 2006 for that money on this forum and his not sold it in todays economic climate and time of the year everythings stacked against you I'm afraid.

but if someone particularly wants an immaculate black bike with a silver frame with very low mileage - they'd probably be quite happy to pay that for it. ;)

It is totally the wrong end of the year to sell a bike - hang onto it until spring and sell it then.

Spokey

cheers guys, been to another local dealer today, they had couple of 650s there. none in as good condition with far higher mileage. again looking for way over the odd's on them. they were willing to give me £2k even at this time of year.
will try to see what i can get for it???

I've seen a few in dealers and they've been extortionately overpriced, I can't see how they can offer you that much when they aren't even shifting any. I saw an ex rental bike with 24k on a 53 plate for £2,700. Glass' guide would book it at about £1,700 and in the current market it'd be lucky to get that. Given the time of year and the current situation I don't understand how bike dealers aren't slashing their prices. Car dealerships are big time but i'm yet to see a bargain SV in a dealership

If I shift the R6 http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=120140 I'd be in a better position to make you an offer. Very nice bike.
