My contract ended on friday, so I am now officially (self-inflicted) unemployed for the next 4 months :D while I travel Australia. I'm supposed to be packing up my stuff to go into storage, but since it was super hot out...... Decided to try out my new underwater housing and go for a snorkel
Here are some pics:

Have fun :D . I did something similar a few years ago. After a contract finished I travelled around Oz for a few months, starting in Cairns and driving down to Tasmania. Everybody should try it once in their lifetime.
Great pics Luke, keep us updated with pics and stories of your travels

Fraser Island is without doubt the best place I have ever been. Apart from maybe the Whitsundays......;)

Why don't you just f### off onto a surfing forum or something? Eh? :-P
Roads round here are about an inch deep in salt, it's about -5... Fire been lit for 6 hours and it's still freeeeezing!

Yep - Gordon's Bay. If the weather keeps up I may head down to malabar, or go for a dive.

Water temp is about 17-20c. Most people were out in just bathing costumes, but I'm a wimp so I wore a shortie wetsuit

TBH it's not all glam! I have been busting my ass, pulling 70+ hour weeks for the past couple of months and saving like crazy so I can take 4 months off!
Anyway, back to packing...... :(

Yep thought you maybe swimming about there somewhere. I used to spare fish with a mate along there as well. Past Little Bay where Botany comes out on the point past the golf courses and firing range. Bit of a hike but fish were always bigger. Can you tell I miss Sydney :(

Nice Ray you got a pic of, an Eagle Ray?
So is it surfing & diving, or a mixture for the next 4 months?
Very jealous, have a great trip.
