Was in my cage this morning cos of the weather.

Went into the local Morrissons just before 6am for petrol and located some black ice on the corner just before the petrol station.

Slid across said corner and took a tour of some fauna.

Corner of cage screwed because of angle I hit the kerb.

Not a good start to the day, had to walk home 3 miles.

P1ssed off and cold.

I just had my cage sideways aswel. Luckily I didn't panic when the back started to overtake me and steered into it. Then it tried the same trick the otherway and I steered into that, so just did a big zig zag in the width of the road.
If I'd done anything else it would definatly have spun and if there had been a car coming the other way it could have been very nasty.
Didn't have any warning it just happened in a split second!

Farington works was always was a bad place for ice. Where Morrisons etc is was the site of the old works car park and comet shop. Many have limped into Comet medical centre after slipping there.

I was careful this morning, there was blobs of snow on the road from what fell off cars. Bike felt really really aweful going round corners, all heavy. No heat in the tyres.

Oh

and those frikkin oxford heated grips are coming off my bike and I'm getting some others. The new controller kept turning off, i know thats to protect the bike but it was probably the same last winter when it was bejeezus cold (i had the older controller then) and I never had a drained battery.

Grrr
