Mine has got to be The Lion King. It's not as clever as a lot of more modern stuff, especially work from the Pixar studio, but it wins hands down just because of the start. That African singing makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

My friend and I wanted to go to see it, but at 17 it was NOT cool to go to watch a cartoon, so we used the excuse of taking my kid brother to see it. He was 9. He watched the whole film without saying a word, but the minute we walked into the house afterwards he flung himself onto my Mum's lap sobbing his heart out about the rabbit getting his ears ripped:(

I felt guilty about taking him for ages:rolleyes:

No, I'd love to have seen the stage show. I love African singing and chanting. The scene from Zulu where the Zulu's are chanting and the soldiers respond with Men Of Harlech also makes me have goosebumps.

Watership Down is a quality film (I refuse to delete it from my Sky+)

As for my current favourite, I was recently introduced to this short film when my daughter asked me to help with her homework - she had to write a review of it. I was a bit shocked as it's quite scary, especially for kids.

Anyway, I give you... Paul Berry's Sandman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMFolaY-VWY)

Disclaimer: Do not watch if you have trouble sleeping :D

Hehe should try some ladysmith black mambazo if you like african, some good songs by them, also lebo M, he did some of the lion king stuff so most of it is in a similar vein.

Anyway, back to the topic, Titan AE, oddly enough I really liked that too, got the soundtrack on my iphone, some good riding tracks (it's my turn to fly, cosmic castaway :)) ok ok I'm sad, meh :D

+1 I would absolutely love to see the stage version, a bit of it was once performed on the telly, might have been a strictly come dancing show or something, looked amazing!

Lion King's my fave too, that bit where Mufasa dies, gets me every time

Pinchcliffe Grand Prix - bloody great! The attention to detail is amazing, even down to the double de-clutching on down changes!

Belleville rendevous is fantastic, as are many japanese anime: Akira for the bike scenes and general wierdness, Urotsukidoji for bizarre tentacle sex, anything by studio Ghibli for just childlike wonder and magic.

Hard to say what my favorite is tho. There's so many that are brilliant!

Grinch

Probably Ghost in the Shell... but not 100% on that.

I must watch more Manga.

Spirited Away. Then Yellow Submarine.

Watership Down is also a favourite, though.

As is Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo. And Akira.

And..And.... OK, just them!
