Hope he gets done for wasting police time. Nice protective gear too in the photos. Can just imagine the scene in his local nick when he turns up with his "evidence" :smt070
Surely he should know as an instructor that speed doesn't necessarily represent out of control and irresponsible riding...
He's made his bike look almost 'police like' - what an idiot!
I highly doubt the police would be able to do much with his so called 'evidence' anyways. By sounds of it the footage doesn't show speed / speedo and as someone pointed out in the comments, speedos are often wrong so how does he know he's not actually going 63mph instead of 70 (Assuming 10% defecit).
As far as I know it can't be used as speeding evidence, considering the police have to have speed, distance and time tattooed onto the video and they also have to be trained in how to use the equipment and get it calibrated like ProVida.
Focus on all traffic though for dangerous driving, that would be more benefical e.g. people using their phones

Obviously he is one of those "Frothing at the mouth" types who are generally "a bit ill" in the head . Why would you bother yourself with all of that . Darwin Awards are handed out regularly to those that don`t succeed . We have enough on our plates in the motorcycling fraternity without this type of fervent and militant "Do Gooder" adding to the pot . As stated , his "Evidence" probably isn`t time stamped and admissable and will soon become a pain in the butt for the Police .

He's gonna get his head kicked in
the police wont like it at all, coz he is doing a job they are supposed to do.... one day they will turn on him coz he is giving them a red face..
where is he a riding instructor ... i would be interested to see his motorcycle riding control... a mr do it by the book type, the type that think they can ride but once they get into a little trouble their off and in hospital ... blooooody plonker.. i'm all for riding responsibly but that's just to much...

Just don`t sweat it over people like this , chances are he will be "Black Marked" by the community locally and anyone that says they are going to him for lessons may be put off by others . He will harm his own business for a little while and may realise that his actions do him more harm than good . People like this surface and disappear just as quickly . They wind us up like clockwork toys and are gone by the time our rants have finished .
Firstly, its says hes an ex courier. Well icant beleive that if he wanted to be a succeful one that he never challenged the sppeds limits.
Secondly, if ihes travelling at 60 in a NS area and its clear and theres nothing about and I pass him as 65 to 70 then to me that aint dangerous. Speed isnt the devil everyone makes out and its KN*bs like this who only reinforce this falsehood

why doesn't he just join the police - do 2 years on the beat, apply to traffic, do all the exams, then apply to bike division? Or would the paperwork & real criminals be too much for him?

He`s 62 apparently , he has no chance of getting in the force .

The guys sounds like a :toss: to me......why would you want to do such a thing? He isn't trained in jack so its not much use, unless its something very seriuos.
Second the speeding could never be proved as he hasn't got a calabratted spedo, which need regulr checking ect, I know this for fact.
He is never coming on a rideout with us! He would make the worse copper from reading that. I think that about covers it:smt081

I notice reading all the comments they have identified his reg number.
I wouldn't be funny if someone cloned his bike for a day and passed every gantry at 110. Not funny at all.

I bet he'd be gutted if his bike was stolen and the police pulled the usual "there's nothing we can do, here's a reference"

shouldnt worry too much as the evidence he would present would never be admissible in court. Yes the police would be interested and perhaps put more observers in the area in the hope of catching a few speeders, but thats all. As others have said, the next headline from this story would be that something has happened to this guy or his possessions!

Why doesn't he go round filming car & van drivers using their mobiles at the wheel? At least it might be easier to prove than his current crusade?

some mothers do have em
cant see any phone numbers on the bike for his driving school so perhaps thats a fantasy like the fantasy about being a policeman. id probably report him if he tried to stop me

I'd stop, and punch his cocking lights out.
I just ran his plate through the DVLA website as both R285 KRP and R295 KRP (is hard to tell from the phto in MCN exactly what the number is). Both numbers come up as blue Honda 49cc bikes that haven't been taxed since 2001 and 2002.
Strange...could it be another spoof MCN story just to provoke a reaction?

I can`t see anything on his plate it is blanked out ?
You'd have thought he would've worn a a leather or textile jacket in the picture. *****.
I can't see his plate either ^^
It's visible in this week's MCN, but not on their web****e
