i have the braun advance power...but use an oral b head?

as its electric me and the mrs can just swap our heads over, it was 1/2 price in boots from £25 to £12.50

it does its job, well i think without consulting a dental practitioner...

i think the £180 one gently wakes u in the morning with lullabys from ur childhood and makes u a nice cuppa in the morning. and if it doesnt...it should at that price :-)

Go for the Oral B jobbie, I got the one that has a timer in it, very good at keeping your toofy pegs clean, the new brush heads cost about 9 quid for two, and last about 3 months .:smt040

I got that oral B jobbie with the remote bluetooth display, (oral B triumph?), about £65.
Had a sonicare, didn't rate it much

I saw a test by some dentist. that's exactly what they said. Didn't rate the sonic ones but get the fastest 70,000 or something
They also liked the 4 segment timer so you do a 1/4 of your mouth each for 30secs. The Bluetooth gives you an alarm if you are brushing too hard

Mine was about £30. It's awesome, you get the feeling if you used it for more than exactly 60 seconds it'd tear your teeth out. Tempted to get another one for the bikes

Damn, mines the number one, and I so mistrust the advise, reviews and opinions of the gadget show.

I even got into an email wrangle with Jon Bentley once over his reviews of PVR's, after which he changed the website article, but too late for the actual show.

go for the oral every time..

me got electric one- have done since they first came out- they are awesome.. you should have seen the state of my toothbrush before.. I was pressing too hard and my dentist said gum recession was starting as I applied too much pressure- then leccy ones came out .. a superb investment..

incidentally similar thing- new fangled shavers...me just bought the wet razor fusion one thingy with the battery in it so it vibrates---- its ace.. best and cleanest closest shave I ever had-- I kow I only have bum fluff even at 42 .. but hey its good. not cheap but good.
:smt008Me kissin me cos I am sooo close shaven and have lovely teeth..

you could have had a standard toothbrush fixed to a pole at the right height in front of a red tractor on a spring like at the AR08 and then rocked back and forth and let the momentum clean yer teeth-

for the 5 seconds till you fall off.:D

The sonic ones really are worth the extra over the standard rotating brushes, I've had both in the past and the former gives a much more polished feel to your teeth.

The UV cleaner / bluetooth / timers are just gimmics though IMO, if you can't rinse off your brush or guesstimate 2 minutes, you're probably best not putting anything in your mouth in case you choke yourself :)

Oral B triumph - with flossaction heads. Not as good as flossing but quite good at cleaning inbetween. £0 sec timer helps move the brush along. Also tells you when to change the heads. Good charge and will last more than a few days.
