Hello everyone, I have been lurking on this forum for weeks reading the wealth of information posted here and drooling at the pictures of your beautiful bikes. After much deliberation, I am the joyous owner of an '06 SV650S (see photos below). I love this forum and look forward to being a regular here as my days with my new baby progress. I live in Ontario Canada and was wondering if there are any Canadian SV owners on these forums. Either way, thought I'd say hello!

The latter.. (bloke :D). As for the dishwasher thing, it's just a username that I stick with. Hate doing dishes, hence my dishwasher is always dirty :)

Ah not the French bit.
So I can make jokes about eating cheese and white flags without ruffling feathers then?

Don't have to complain about the cold to me. Out here we can only ride April through October because of the ridiculous amount of snow and ice on the roads. A bit frustrating seeing as how I just got my SV. No snow on the ground today though so I've been sneaking short rides every chance I get. Loving it so far, except for the slight ache in my wrist. (First sporty bike, gotta get used to the ergonimics).

ah yea, the achey wrist syndrome. try adjusting your levers (manufactures always seem to have them up a bit too high) and also grip the tank a bit more with your knees. Its worse on the earlier curvy models, the tank isnt as supportive IMO

Thanks, I'l try the knees bit, although the levers seem to be in the right spot. I just need to learn to not put my weight on my wrists and I think we'll get on fine.
welcome.... you lazy bugger and get them dishes washed ... nice bike...
try dropping your elbows so as your elbow acts like a hinge that way your not pushing all your weight onto your wrists. takes a bit of getting used to but it works.
Hello and welcome. Not Canadian myself, but got relatives in Belleville and friends in Brampton, Toronto. Went rafting on the Ottawa river some years ago, remember there were some nice roads through the forrests up that way.
BTW - nice bike

Hey welcome, yup you guys are cool over there, its is quite cold from what I understand....
The last Canadian I met was out the local court wearing a t-shirt that said "I'm a fuc*ing Genuis" whilt taking a pis* in a bush outside the court, a quick blast of the two tones made him jump.....
He said he felt pretty dumb wearing that shirt after being caught! I thought it was funny made me laugh.
