From what I can make out (from the RRP and pictures) these are R&G's for the fully faired SV:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320315993064
Given that they were fitted by george whites too I'm guessing they aren't the cheap knockoffs, but even so for £10 it would be a good deal heh.
Anyone care to shed an opinion on whether they are or aren't? not that it matters, they are bought but just wondered if my suspicion was correct, will find out when they arrive of course.
If they are the proper ones then I'll be made up

the bungs in the picture are definitely R&G, they have the logo on them
Whether he includes the fitting kit with them the ad doesn't say...;)

heh yeah thats a good point, doesn't point out that the picture is the actual ones you will receive. tried to match the compound they are made from with R&Gs but got no matches with google fu. Would george whites really charge £70 for fitting cheap versions with a new bike? I'd imagine £70 would be about right for R&Gs (£96) with reduction for getting them with the bike.
and I had thought about the fitting kit, hopefully though can argue the point as his "blue ones to match the bike" will come with a cheapy kit too I'd imagine, will have to wait and see what turns up I guess, interesting points though. *fingers crossed*

I have seen that Ebay image before, not sure where, so it will be interesting to see if they turn out to be R&G's. The official Suzuki accessory cost £56, these replace the large silver washer on the side fairing and would make it to near £70 fitted knowing George Whites (replace the 'W' with an 'S'). Where as the R&G's cost £90 on there own. As I said the image is off the R&G bungs for a full faired bike.
They could be cheap/crap ones that bolt straight on to the faring bracket, these are useless and will fold by hand.
The fitting kit for R&G is...

Hmm yeah hadn't thought of the suzuki ones, will have to wait and see, the R&G fitment looks much better than most, not quite motosliders but no fairing modification needed which appealed to me. ah well, will see what happens, will update the thread when they arrive (you pays your money.... heh)
I had mine fitted by G White when I bought the bike and afaik I was charged about £75.
BUT, he has put in the add that he is replacing them with blue ones, which to me suggests that he will be keeping the fitting kit.

Oh well, looks like I'll never find out, according to the seller:
Message from merchant: Many apolgies for the refund. The bike was dropped yesterday and quite alot got damaged.
Smelling a rat, I queried saying I'd still take a damaged set if it was just dropped, got the reply:
"Unfortunately unless you want half a crash bung the item will not be sent."
Ah well, I thanked him for the refund and hoped he was ok as he must have "dropped" it at some speed to only have half a bung left.
hey ho, such is life with ebay. Shame, can see why though, assuming my first reaction was right then to sell them for that would be stupid.
