well i dont know if there are any *cough* students out there but i am one found this offer http://www.microsoft.com/student/discounts/theultimatesteal-uk/default.aspx
So on Friday i went and bought vista upgrade and started downloading it, it comes in 3 files. i downloaded 2 then my computer crashed as a result i lost the download link for the 3rd. I go through digital river to try and download but it only lets me download the one of the one's i already have. I have emailed them and awaiting a reply still, but then i thought of you lot and maybe one of you has the file i need it is boot.wim and is 126mb give me a shout if you can help.

Vista rules. You just need to have patience and a decent system. Everything nowadays is larger in filesize and resource, this is also true of OS's and any applications. It's alway sbeen the same and always will be. In 20 years an OS will be probably be closer to about a 1TB in size.
