ok i give in ..

how the hell do you stop clothes from getting static in a tumble-dryer?

its driving me nuts... and the kids get a good laugh into the bargain... i'm supposed to be a role model for them... but when they see me dance (btw i cant dance) around coz of the static on the clothes.. then i get smart remarks like.. but dad ur well hard a little static cant bother you that much ...

i fuk!n hate static....

please help... its embarrassing

i thought tumble dryer sheets were just to make the clothes smell better ... that's why i'v never bothered, clothes always smell nice without them ...

yup its sunny... but the locals would be off with the clothes .. we're poor up here..:(

The sheets that I use state they have 'easy iron' properties

and the ball thingies...

ahh so balls + bounce sheets = bouncy balls = no static ...

si if i put a 'bounce sheet' and the ball thingys in my tumble dryer together i should get no static?

I would think so...I'm sure I've seen some of these balls in Asda too..worth a try. I've never had static in my tumble dryer

I would think so...I'm sure I've seen some of these balls in Asda too..worth a try. I've never had static in my tumble dryer

due to the suggestions above i'm pleased to say

my manliness has been restored .. no more doing the static dance.... much to the disappointment of my kids...

thank you dizzy and lissa... a drink i owe you when i meet you...

See, I save money by just hitting the socks that are trying to fornicate with each other with a large hammer upon exit from the dryer. After a few hefty whacks they just let go of each other and stay on the floor like good little socks should...


... though it is fun to occasionally let my pup try to steal one directly from the dryer and get sent scurrying off, tail between his legs, after getting a zap of static to his nose. :twisted:
