Triumph , I think , I know that bike from somewhere as a Fitter in Hotpoint used to have one . He was restoring the Nacelle on it at the time and had bits of that under his workbench and used to bore me to death with the "Specialist" magazines that used to get sent to him about it ..... I shall rummage further .

Sorry incorrect, although I can see your thinking on this one :D
Engine looks Italian or Eastern European
xXBADGERXx
13-12-09, 07:25 PM
Hmmmm, very odd styling , I`ve seen that tank before somewhere as well and can imagine it with black rubber side thingies on it .... I have seen this bike and on the road as well .
BSA/Triumph styling ...... but the engine is a single and the back end does look European .

Ah well , Skeetly actually got the manufacturer before any of us , and it isn`t the bike that old fitter had either , but something very similar in looks .

Tank is actually White on that model he put up , hence the Photo looking iffy on the tank and Maviczap was sneaky in removing the logo .
Check out the KS100 514 model .

Ah, ok. I found a photo of one that had a black tank and wongly assumed that was how it was meant to look.
I came across that one as well and it was a later model and , oddly enough , was the only one I saw with a Black Tank , most of them had from what I can assume was either a chromed tank or polished ones . I gotta admit , they are a nice looking bike , whoever designed that did a very elegant job . Even the engine looks tidy as well and quite modern looking for its age .

The original sponataneously correct (if short) answeree or the resulting rush of pedantry off the back of the real work done?

Now then.
A mate of mine (not on here) has informed me that this bike was never sold commercially. It would have, if circumstances had been different
It was a proper working motorcycle though.
This makes it a bit 'against the rules' I think.
It's still pretty interesting if you like bikes though.
3 days and then I spill the beans?
Or shall I pull it?

Sorry badger :(
Didn't expect anyone to be up until 4 doing it.....
Tis only a bit of fun and it *is* an interesting machine :)
I try not to answer these unless I have an inkling to begin with.
I must admit I wasn't aware of the but I still couldn't find it till i tried pre war prototypes this evening, guessed the war would have killed off what ever it was, picture looked about right for that
Anyways, here is a nice one for anyone to try at

Apart from those little engines that drive the front wheel with a roller I dont think so.
Been a few 2 wheel drives.
Yamaha had a hydraulic thing a while back and KTM and a couple of other firms make a 2 wheel drive bike.
Rokon?
But this is my favourite:
http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2009/03/26/1937-front-drive-tracked-motorcycle-prototype/
Better not post it up a a contender though; another prototype :D
Yer that one carried on popping up in the searches last night along with the BMW R7 - yuk!

I got my pair from a local dealer here for 70 euros. It's good to know, if you're a Buell Firebolt owner that they are the same units but better. The Buell reflectors go black after a while. Crap. They started to recall them just before the shop closed down.
