Hi BigBaddad, not that I'm terribly fussed but the rule from post #1 to stop confusion over who's posting:
The winner posts a photo of part of a bike.

So if you confirm the person guessed correctly, then that person will post the next one to guess.
TRX, spot on, one more before bedtime:-k
Hummmmmmm now that's a little tricky. I had some ideas but so far they're coming up blank. Will keep digging.

That ,I think , is an NSU Kettenkrad motorcycle tractor. Very popular in Europe in the early 1940s but didn`t make it over here :) Hitler bike

So the Rules of this comp are.... Humm let me see if I can grasp this..

If Someone Gets "The Bike" in question CORRECT , then it is their turn to post a part photo of another bike ....

ok I think I have just got to grips with that, simple enough to understand. :smt075.

So... I think it not a motorbike, it's a halftrack, so not a motorbike...:drink:

Cagiva Navigator?
http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/Gallery/cagiva%20navigator%20%2005.jpg

I thought for a bit you were being sneaky and it was going to be a KLV1000, but, of course the frame was all wrong.

I've got to go to an interview (I should be getting ready really) So, if GMS confirms I'm correct, either GMS or someone else will have to post a new pic if you want one before tomorrow late morning.

Jambo

GMS
20-01-10, 02:30 PM

21-01-10, 03:04 PM

STRAMASHER
21-01-10, 03:24 PM
Those disks are annoying me. Cheap/old calipers....

Weird forks. That axle is like summit you only see on trailies and the forks have a lot of travel.

Suzuki kill switch?...

No idea, how about a Hyosung?

fr499y
21-01-10, 03:30 PM
nope not a hyosung, but your thinking on the right line!! the main parts are infact made in the factory next to that of the yamaha YBR, but its not a yamaha nor a hyosung

jambo
21-01-10, 03:51 PM
So we're looking for a budget, recent bike with cheap 2 pot sliding calipers and USD forks.

I don't mind saying I've been thinking on this for more of today than I should have.

And I'm stumped for now.

Jambo

fr499y
21-01-10, 03:55 PM
hehe, you say budget but they cost £1800 and tbf, are such a good bike for the price! and if ridden properly can easilly get your knee down ( i have a few times on it lol ) i'll give you a big clue. Its a 125cc bike ( Uses a licenced suzuki GS 125 engine ), the size of a 400 or simular. Twin discs, USD forks, clip on bars and rather wide tyres for a 125 ( 140 rear 110 front ) oh and its not a japanese nor korean bike :)

Was hoping this would keep people thinking for a while hehe

GMS
21-01-10, 04:09 PM
Yep had me stumped most of the day.
Never heard of them before today but it`s a Sinnis. Aparently they are the British arm of the Jinan Qingqi Motorcycle Co. of China :)
The bike is a Sinnis Stealth 125

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee233/GMS650/blue20stealth20-1.jpg

150 kg and only 10hp that`s gotta be dog slow fr499y :)

Gabriel2k
21-01-10, 04:10 PM
How did I not get that one, I actually got lumped with riding one during my CBT. Was very funny because the instructor was slagging it off like mad, then when he asked us to do a figure of eight said he was amazed I could do it on the Sinnis, has a go himself and promptly dropped it!

They then tried to flog it to me for £800 and it was only a year old lol.

fr499y
21-01-10, 04:18 PM
GMS your right :) umm actually not too bad cause im only light.. could do 70 on it which isnt bad for a first bike! and teh size of it was easily mistaken for a bigger bike, yes its chinese, but was good build quality. Might have a look to see if i still got the vid of knee scrapeing on the twisties lol Was also the bike i passed my test on :) actually there 125kg :) but still.. heavy for a 125 but well built lol

Could be but the 250 is a twin that looks more like the v4 motor to me. Also look at the design of the sidepanel.

Cant be many bikes that ran a drive shaft before the recent BMW bunch.
I'd be using google to ID that though so thats cheating, I'll leave it to someone with a more encyclopedic knowledge.

Mz 350 ?

squirrel_hunter
09-07-13, 09:08 PM
Then at an educated guess I'd say its a Ural. Couldn't tell you the model, but I used to live opposite a chap who had a Ural and side car combination and the rear shock/ spring design looks familiar. Wouldn't mind giving one a go...
