Man, that's a toughie. I'm guesing it's frm between 1910 and 1925, possibly British or American. Maybe an early Triumph or Rudge.

You guys are good. If it were cars I might stand a chance, but I'm a tad ashamed to say my knowledge of motorcycles is very limited. I know of most of these bikes, but could I tell you what's what from just a small picture of its side? Could I f-. :)

Annoying too, I like these forum identify the picture games.

Smack on, my favourite Bimota. The factory never made them for any market apart from Japan. Any you see on the road over here have been imported from Japan rather than Italy or anywhere else in the world. I rode one once, absolutely wonderful bike.

When you said no to the YB4 I was a bit confused at first! The YB7 is a nice bike I agree. Now to try find one that'll test you!

The wheels to me say early 80s Honda, but I'll admit I don't know enough to close it down from there...

Looks a little like the mid 80's VF750, though that had a box section frame not tubular, so I'd guess one of the CB range perhaps?

Simson S50.

Better known in the UK as the MZ Simson 50. The bike shop near me used to sell them in the early 80s - two of my mates owned them and couldn't kill them either.

Yamaha came out with this bike in the early to mid 90`s with an "Omega" chassis and it was a white Elephant at the time , they have a cult following and were a funky thing , engine was a derivative of the 1000 Exup , I think they were Centre Hub steered also ?

Another one my boss had. I did take a ride on it & tbh it didnt feel any different to any other jap bike on the market at the time. The price tag was phenominal... I think it was around the £10000 mark in the mid 90's

Lozzo
08-12-08, 02:21 PM
One of my mates used to have one, another mate still has his and Steve Linsdell, who I used to work for at Flitwick Motorcycles, has a race version he built to ride at the TT. The race bike has an ex-Noriyuki Haga YZF750 WSB spec engine in it.

I've ridden the two road going ones and they are really good on very bumpy roads and when hard on the brakes. Other than that they feel as easy to ride as any other large sports-tourer.
