Hey guys been browsing this forum for couple of weeks now and needed some adivce on a scorpion street extreme can. btw my name is ahmed and i currently reside in london :)

I brought my k9 sport a couple of weeks ago now, still not run in properly however enjoying it very much especailly as this is my first big bike.

The dilema is that should i go for a stainless steel street extreme or a carbon fibre with steel tip one. Im set on a street xtreme but not sure on the which one. if there are any avid photoshoppers artound could you be kind enough to maybe doa mock up of both exhausts on my bike?

I have heard that the carbon fibre could crack? anyone had any experiences with this.

one final comment is on fitment and i have read that i should cut about 30-40mm above the weld line, however near that weld line is a lambda sensor so how much does the link pipe from the new can overlap on the existing pipe on my exhaust and will it hit the sensor?

show a couple of pics of my bike before and after a few "chavy" mods some may think but not me ;)

thanks

sorry for quality of pics used my phone

The carbon would suit the black frame, and the instructions that come with the can will take you through the job.

hahaha no neons!! next mods are going to be exhaust and tail tidy alredy had the rear hugger fitted today.

Dangerous Dave nice colour. hmm yeah i have seen someone on this forums with a black sv with a carbon street extreme but havnet seen a black one with a silver. thing thats worrying me is the carbon fibre cracking.

anyone know anything about warranty and what it covers from scorpion and how long it lasts?

cheers

Its not my bike, I'm a true SV'er and own two Curvy's. There are plenty of carbon canned SV's about, Scorpion also have a good reputation so you should have no issues.

I wish my K8 had black forks and rims :(

I'd keep the red seat tho!

I'd heard Vtwins tend to make carbon cans crack..sure it were someone on here that mentioned it the other day
Personally I prefer stainless..more shiny things to polish;-). Welcome to the org BTW Ahmed

cheers for replys guys.

erm regarding tank bra i got it from the dealer is an official suzuki accessory has "SV" embossed on it, provides more protection than a tank pad and blends in a bit with a black bike. its called a tank bra you rlocal suzuki dealer should get you one. If they dont have on e in stock like my dealer then they order it and should be there the next day.

Hmm i really think the carbon can would suit a black bike, and also read that scorpion provide lifetime warranty so a bit of a bonus there if it does go wrong. Also my sister thinks a stainless would provide bit of contrast. been quoted £270 for the carbon and about £205/210 for the stainless from honda so no major price difference.

still undecided and got till saturday when i go to buy my sisters hornet from honda so need to decide by then as buying everything then.

wish i had the money for two bikes and two cans then wouldnt need to make this choice!
