Hi guys, new to the forum so hello all and need to ask a question. I'm hoping to race next year the bike I have is a K5 I'm looking for an ally subframe. Will a carbed version fit or are they wildly different.

Carb'd version is steel and weighs a ton, you don't want one of them (even if it will fit, which I don't think it will).

Although this link is to a curvy race subframe, they mention in the blurb about offering the same for most bikes.

Worth asking them, I'd say.

I've got a K6 and it had a standard sub frame on it, which was ally ? I cut a great load of it off that wasn't needed and was amazed to discover that it was ally. As it was black painted i could not tell upon first inspection.

All the bits that hold the passenger seat and the like was removed, Happy to send a pic if you're interested. Most subframes are steel so was pleasently surprised that the SV Suzuki one was ally. Unless it wasn't a Suzuki Item bit it most definately was a road bike. Anyone know is K6 > had ally ones as standard?

If you cannot find an Ally one, Steve Jordan Suzuki in Leatherhead sell Race Ally subframes for Inj SV's. I've got one on my #1 bike and it's very well made and is worth the money.
