Ill put it into contect for you. I picked up my completely immaculate sv650s, 14000 miles, full m4 system, full service history, decent alarm system - £700 just last weekend.

Buying from dealers is easier yeah, and you get a warranty... but buying private *especially this time of year* has its benefits :) just look around and dont buy the first one you see... unless its one like mine ;)

here is the blurb from the dealers site Manual 6 speed, 33,610 miles, Metallic RED, MOT-09-2009. This is a very nice clean example of the very popular SUZUKI SV650S, This is in the most popular colour, which is red. The bike has been very well looked after, and is very clean and tidy for its age. It has been fitted with a after market end can, which is a HI LEVEL Blue Flame exhaust, which sound absolutely fantastic. The bike also has a very nice carbon belly pan, and has been fitted with crash protectors. These really are good bikes, they have a V Twin engine, which gives very good low down power, and is ideal as a first big bike, they have a nice low seat height, so are good for the shorter rider. This one really is a nice clean bike and has to be seen to be appretiated. Check out our website, as we have a larger selection on there. We stock over 30 bikes, and they range from scooters to sports bikes, 50cc to 1300cc. All of our bikes come with an MOT and warranty. We accept all major debit and credit cards, and can arrange finance if required. We are happy to take your bike in part exchange, and all bikes come with a HPI check form. £1,695and a few pics

might try and get him to wack in a re-stricter for the price aswell and my god it sounds good

@vilguy - its actually the cheapest example locally ive found even after looking on autotrader and the bay for the last 2 weeks!

also i dont know how many miles is alot for bikes and how to i check that the chain etc is in good condition??

ill offer any assistance i can in finding a good one for you. Dont be afraid of travelling slightly further afield... although i realise you have only just passed your test.

Mine was 150 miles away in london...

Ill keep an eye out for you though.... i buy and sell alot so know where to look :)

Whats your top budget? pm me your location etc and ill try and help you out.

tbh £1600 was the very top of my budget for a bike and as said work on guildford for my location! its really annoying as i just want to go out and ride but dont want to jump into buying something that ill regret (typical thing for me to do!!!)

any help would be great :D

One idea might be to buy one from further afield but then get a courier to pick it up. Most deliver anywhere in england for up to £100 or so. That way you can get that bargain and get it delivered all for much less than that other one :)

Biker Biggles
14-11-08, 07:25 PM
That 02 blue one looks good to me.MOT is fine and no problem, and speedo problem after changing tyre is very likely to be a £15 repair where they broke the rotor drive.
(We have all done it)Its low mileage two owners and claims to be in good condition with service records.Well worth a look Id say if the price remains below £1200.

arcdef

kk will keep an eye on it, only thing is no chance to going to view before it ends :(

Thats the trouble with Ebay, but if you bid a sensible amount and win it you can make sure its as described before you part with the dosh. You are always taking a risk buying a used bike, but if it is cosmetically in good nick, has evidence of regular servicing, and the seller appears genuine, you stand a good chance of getting a nice one.

i buy all my bikes off ebay, roughly 30 or so a year. I never view beforehand and have only had to walk away from one that wasnt described right. Keep an eye out. Quite often theres good ones go with low buy it now prices.
