I so wish I had a recent pic of YCs. The other night he popped up with Smudge and both bikes were parked on my drive. Smudges K3 was super shiny as always and the very little light that was shining sparkled off it...YCs was so mucky the light couldn;t bounce off it for all the muck, in fact you caould hardly notice it was there, it was stealth I tll thee.....and hes forever looking out of my curtains thinking someone may actually fancy stealing the rat!!!

Hmmm, well this is YC's at the Glencoe Massacre in summer, so not too long ago. Needless to say he hasn't cleaned it since :D

Every time I see that picture it makes me laugh. Everyone else carefully routes their Scottoiler tube so it's as discreet and neat as possible. Where as YC looks at where the oil is, where it's got to be and says feck it and just leaves it dangling. Genius.

wasn't that done at AR?

dizzyblonde
16-11-08, 06:15 PM
Not only does YC not conceal his scotoiler, but he has bodged a bracket out of metal plate, for his loud horn so its stuck out from the front left engine mount. He also has his cam gaffered onto somewhere on the right(sure its on his R&G) .
His front left indicator was put back on with blue electric tape, sometime before the AR by me, he also has a fender extenda made by luckypants which has seen some 10000 miles since the NW3...this was made out of gaffer and some sort of drainpipe!! as you can see in Miss YCs pic :-)

I did it before that even, I keep having to refresh it as it accumulates more grime :D I had to rewrite it on for AR and for Glencoe

Aye, R&G, the cameras was removed a while back but not exactly neatly, leftovers of foam tape are still there so the bung is more cram that black really lmao.

I dont do dirty :D at worst there may be some bugs splattered on it at the moment and loads of chunks of rubber stuck to the front from following people at the last trackday I did.

The thought of having to clean something as dirty as some of these pics scares me, dirt must be in places completely impossible to get to without ripping the bikes to bits.

doesn't matter if you don't ever plan on removing it :p The dirt on YC's bike is what keeps it together, I swear!

When I asked him how old the filter was, he said only a few weeks

Mine hasn't been cleaned since.... er .... well I sanded it down a bit when I sprayed it at easter... I think I might have cleaned it last august maybe?

Pete the git, cleaned part of my bike. I intended to do a bit of wheelspin on the way out of campsite and splatter him and his poofterduc in mud... but alas I misjudged the position of the nice muddy puddle and he got away unbesmirched.

Actually I cleaned part of the back wheel other week, dripped a bit of brake fluid on it and wiped it off if that counts? Only thing is, thinning down the layer of protection there seems to have thrown wheel out of balance :-P

ah, that shiny bit will just be a splodge of oil.....soon be mucky when the muck off the road sticks to it ;-)

No it's a brand new filter, but you're right it won't be shiny for long.
