Hi there guys.
Just got an SV650s 2004 and I'm on a restricted license and need my bike restricted. What do I do?
Guy I'm buying the bike off works at Chiswick Honda, he said a mate in the bike dept can fit it FOC but i'll need to pay for the kit and certification.
Do I buy and electrical plug in unit and give it to him and pay for the certification then the bike will be legal for me?
Any help is much appreciated as I need to pay him and get the bike off seller asap.

To be honest if you are getting it fitted for free it doesn't matter which one you get. The Suzuki restrictor is an replacement ECU, this is a direct plug in and it replaces the full power ECU. The F1 International option is washers under the injectors, it takes more time fit.

Thanks Dave.
Is one cheaper than the other? And unless the workshop has a 33BHP ECU, I'll have to buy one from somewhere. Where!? I live in London, near Heathrow.

Don't get the FI int. kits for injected bikes. They're f##king crap.
The ECU comes from suzuki, or from eBay, on here or wherever. You can usually find one pretty cheap.

can pick a restricted ECU up on ebay for £50 delivered easily, then stick it on a dyno and get your printout as evidence.

will have one next monday once my restriction runs out. Fit is yourself as it's a bag of ****. Take off the side panels and seat, unclip and stick the seat and panels back on and away you go.
Don't worry about any paper work as when Mr Plod pulls you over say "Yes it's restricted, if you have a set of allen keys i'll show you the uint" as any paperwork isn't worth the paper it's printed on. You've just got to be able to prove it's 33bhp.
