snap on the mood front! Mondays bah!
I want to come, but can't spare the fuel... plus I'm not on my own bike so I'll leave it this week.
Not a fan of the public poll?

I forgot. I'm still in a 'can't be arsed' mood, so can't be arsed to rectify.
Lucky dip again I guess.
I assume you voted no.

Tony - you don't need to worry about coming just to give me the boots - I think a high side gives you the choice of whether to come or not! (even if it is Tont Tuesday). I hope carol Nash get it sorted quickly for you - poor bike :-(

I realised today that the meet now seems to be on The Wrong Tuesday. So I almost certainly won't be there.

Good meet last night, and a nice little ride to and from the Shire!
My end can arrived today, so will be fitted minus decibel eater in time for the next meet!
It was a bit chilly on the way home, so I turned the heating up in the car a tad.
I would still have preferred to be on two wheels and cold though.

million dollar question - did you actually show up?
Tony - hope your okay. Is this the excuse you need to get something different?
million dollar question - did you actually show up?
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
That is all.
I ran out of petrol on the way to work this morning. I blame the extra few miles I did last night.
I went down the A4 toward Reading as I normally do. Decided to take the motorway instead so went up the A339 to the M4. For some reason unknown to me, I took the wrong ramp and ended up going back down the motorway toward London. Bugger. So had to go all the way down to the A404 before turning round and heading home again. So much for me leaving early to get home early.
Well I had the throttle open lets say enthusiastically and as a consequence burnt a substantially more amount of fuel than I normally do. I normally get 200 miles out of the tank but ran out on 188.
Upside was I actually conked out at the gates into work so coasted to a stop in my normal parking space. Result.

But how did you get home again?

I sent someone to the garage with a petrol can to go get me some fuel.

Very smooth. Last time I ran out it was in the fast lane of a dual carrage way with no hard shoulder in the dark :-( not so cool, plus I had to push it up a hill to get it off the road. A ZZR with full load of clobber is a heavy beast.
Last time I ran out was a country lane, couple of miles from work.
Sent the boss out for gasoline, speaker cable and wire strippers
(Speaker cable and wire strippers inhabbit the stationary cupboard so no biggy there)
Last time I ran out was about 20 feet from a petrol station. Even managed to pull the clutch in and coast to the forecourt. There's stylish.

Well................the last time I ran out was just coming off the slip road at juntion 3 of the M3. Then a kind biker riding a Thundercat stopped and gave me a lift to Sainsburys to fill up a jerry can and took me back. What a guy!

I've done that in an 8 ton truck. Unfortunately the pump was on the wrong side so still had to buy a can, then fill the can, then pay for the fuel, then put the fuel in the truck, then prime the whole fuel system, then start, drive round and refill the tank. So maybe not quite as stylish. But at least I didn't have to push 8 tons of truck to the garage up a hill.

You're right - that's not at all stylish....
