Fancied getting a cheap bike for work (Cheap as in under £500, not more than 350cc) and keep looking on ebay for stuff. Ideally it would be a DT125 or similar but then keep thinking of how cheap C90s are to run.

Chinese bikes though are literally given away. A newish one of these for under a monkey, although I guess resale values are pretty crap. The DT seems to hold its value.

Question is, are any of these Chinese bikes worth considering now or are they still crap? Theres so many manufacturers putting them out and im sure one or two must be getting the hang of it and using Honda parts

nobody will service them for a reason their carp you'd be better off getting a older jap bike late 90's cg or summat.

a friend fot one for 800 quid new. first ride the mirror fell off and it got a petrol leak.

get a scuffed cg off a test center of some thing. hold value alot better and can get parts for them. plus they are quite good fun-ish-for about a day.

There was something on Watchdog about them last night. Didn't pay too much attention because i was reading the mighty .org . Think they were on about scooters and the expert said they were unsafe!!!

Well just to be different, i had a chinese replica of a cbr 125 with what was in essence a cg 125 engine in it and it was brilliant. The main thing with the chinese bikes is to get it built by someone you trust, me and my dad put mine together so we knew exactly what was tight and what not, the point is they are not great quality but like with all things, a little bit of care and time and it'll last ages. I ended up putting a spare K & N on mine for a little extra grunt.

my lady has a Zohongu 125 it is cheap.... and it looks cheap... but its all there...it will go on my insurance next yr some time when I teach her to ride but it will do well for £350 with only 400km on the clock!
