Ha! Ha! Llyn Brianne, a bit of a laugh :D. Killjoys at Welsh Water trying to make it against the law - they vigorously persue you for trespass if caught. I couldn't possibly comment on who was there, I was not on this occasion. I have not been up there for years (in case the EA / WW looking).
Catching air at the bottom needs you to hit it square and get the body position right. First guy over rotated backward due to leaning back, second guy ducked into the wave to avoid air.

No, I think id be saying "I want to go... Ooops too late" and then need a clean up at the end. Did you see the first guy fly when he hit the bottom? And the last get just taking off as the video ended

More footage (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=INn3JqGvlbA&eurl=http://www.whioworld.com/index.php?/categories/5-Wales) with some huge air. LLyn Brianne starts about 50 seconds in. I don't know these guys, bit video is OK.

That sort of stunt looks like it's being performed by people who are silly and irresponsible.
The sort of people who ride motorcycles.
It's dangerous, stupid, irresponsible and should be banned.

Do you think the Welsh Water Board are missing a trick though?
If they put some floats down the sides of the concrete walls, it could be sponsored and hired out as some sort of competition event- the White Water equivalent of a Ski Jump.
That would be awesome!
its only dangerous to those that are doing it.. if they want to take the risk then why not.
i would pay for a chance to do that. it looks like really good fun. just like tying a rope to the back of a car when there is snow on the ground then holding on to it whilst sitting on a sledge and getting towed about.. that's real fun.
i'm fed up of the doogooders in this country taking all our fun away, who are they to say that its dangerous...
goes off and rants to himself.. rant rant rant...

i would pay for a chance to do that. .
and that is exactly what kayakers want to avoid  Rivers are a natural resource that should be free for all to enjoy, in the same way walkers can enjoy the outdoors.
The spillway forms the start of the Afon Towi
