Looking for someone who can fabricate a one off link pipe for my S650s. I've got Micron header pipes, so they're not standard length for normal link pipes. Plus I think they're oversize too.

I'd like a high level link.

Someone in the Suffolk, Essex area if poss :smt024

Of the top of my head you could try :

Wunoff - http://freespace.virgin.net/wunoff.cpe/
Campbell custom exhausts - http://www.campbellcustom.co.uk/

Ask micron. They make one, I've got one.

Or zorstec.

Do you have the race headers? Have you got a pic of your system?

Ta for the advice

Think so, needed rejetting for anyway. Have a look in the dirty bike thread in photo section.

Mine will too, as I've got a BMC filter fitted. I'll do it all once I've sourced and fitted the link pipe

Which BMC?

Just the standard replacement filter, not the race spec.

Do you have the race headers?
Micron only did "race" headers.

This http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=107230&highlight=micron
shows my bike with Micron headers and Quill end can. The link pipe is the standard Micron high level one but JB Racing (the people who make Quill exhausts) swaged the end out from 50.8mm (2 inch) to 52mm to suit the end can. I believe they can make custom link pipes, but unfortunately they are in Cheshire:

When fitting fuel can to micron pipes I just swore at it untill it worked.

Cheers for all the advice. I'll give Micron a call and see if they still do a high level link pipe for mine.

Otherwise I think I'm going to have to ride down to Campbell Custom exhausts, as they seem to be my nearest fabricator. :smt067

Any decent metal fabricator with a pipe bender will be able to the the job, the link pipe is the easiest part to fabricate on an exhaust.

Found a brand new Micron header pipe and link pipe on Fleabay. Says it is a high level system, but it looks similar to mine.

2770

Is there a different link pipe that routes it higher than mine?

End can is different now, as I've got a shorter Scorpion one fitted. Looks better than this standard Scorpion.

Looks like the highlevel link pipe on the Ebay image, it has a more agressive bend in it.

Well, looks like I'll have to go into the loft and check the product code on the box from my headers.

If it is then the simplest thing to do is buy this set & swap the link pipes over.

Then flog the new headers. I've done the hard work by fitting the headers already. :sunny:

Ta, now I've seen some pictures of the different types of Micron link pipes, I know I want the high level one.
