Hallo all, new on this forum and usually hang out on the GSR forum. A friend has a SV400S and the ignitor is missing as wel as the plug has been cut off.
Does any know if an 650 ignitor will work? I have been unable to locate any and also cannot get a wiring diagram for the 400, only the 650.
Any advice will be appreciated.:)

Different rev limit but AFAIK the same. Posssibly slightly different map. The thing to do is ask zadar

Thanks, that sounds promising! I will see if I can find Zadar somehow, assume he is on the forum?:)
Thanks again.
yea,it is all same except rev limiter.sv400 revs higher.
650 box would work but not having those revs would be downside.400 needs to rev high.

Yes zadar is his forum name. I am fairly sure they are interchangeable as I've heard of 400 ones being used on 650 to up the rev limit.
Edit: beaten to it right on cue!

Thanks to both of you. Just popped you a PM before I saw your reply.
Would there be any other solution for an ignitor, aftermarket, generic or whatever?
I am wondering if his old ignitor was not salvaged by a needy 650 owner then!;)

I do have 400 box I can sell it but they are not cheap.I have to get them from Japan.they are about $400(US).
you can use 650 until you find right one.

Thanks, I will give him the news. I am not sure how far he wants to go moneywise. If he decides to go for OEM I may come back to you.
Again thanks for the feedback it is much appreciated.:D
