I didn't mean to do it, but the road kinda dipped away as I was accelerating hard up the local bypass.

so lozzo, if you now get 6 points for doing 90 in a 70 you'll get 12 points in total:plod:, ah on one wheel you say, so divide that by two = 6 points.:thumright:
That law hasn't been passed yet. I am going to make the most of it while I can.

"Yes occifer, my front tyre is flat... I'm just trying to get to the garage as soon as possible to reduce the risk of me coming off"
On your own private local bypass of course.

Of course, I forgot to mention that.
Should any officers of the law be reading this thread, the original post was purely a figment of my imagination and should only be treated as such. The rest of you can treat it any which way you like :-).
May you be damned to hell. You are a true sinner.
Thank you, I feel all warm and proud now.

My highest speed one was at Donington Park on my old Gixer thou. As you go under the bridge approaching Goddards there's a rise and fall in the track, the Gixer would go skywards at 145mph there. Mucho hilarity

Good work, how long did you "keep it up" for?
Thank you, I feel all warm and proud now.
Yes it had the same effect on me when I was told that. Good innit.

You need an R1 or similar to do it properly. If you catch it right you can just hold a steady throttle for as long as you like with the front in the air, which is my prefered method. I held this one for at least half a mile, but at 135mph that doesn't take long to cover.
P.s. Plowsie - I did get the pm and the text. Game on, I'll be in contact to arrange things closer to time.
So you're saying you did a balance point wheelie then?
It got to the point where I felt comfortable and didn't need to make drastic adjustments to the revs - it stayed pretty much where I wanted it to be on a steady throttle. If that's the balance point, then so be it. It did feel like it could have gone higher, but I wasn't about to try. I don't like chopping the throttle to keep the front wheel up as it never feels like I'm anywhere near in control.
Wheelies really aren't my thing, but every now and then I manage to pull a spectacular one out of the bag almost by accident. The last time was nearly 2 1/2 years ago on my Gixer Thou at about 110, when I overtook my ex on her Bandit 650 and kept it going for about 3/4 mile.
One of my mates instructs at Paul Gower's Wheelie School and he's given me and others some good tips. He told us about not chopping the throttle open and closed to keep it up.
I've been meaning to get some of the girls from the TVSF up to Gower's school - might have to cancel plans for the TT so I have enough leave to do it though.

Nice wheelie I guess. :smt003
Why do we need more speeding penalties. Sigh.
