had this a few years back, its a right ****, try to check before these days before really getting stuck in......
are you fitting renthals for the 'renthals' factor, or to raise the handlebar height etc for a slightly more upright riding position?

Renthals are way tougher than standard IME. Worth it for that alone.
There's also a fitment of renthal which is almost exactly same as OEM, just not made of cheese.
theyre a tiny bit higher also theyre wider which suits my riding position good.

Renthal street bike ultra low are as close to the standard bars as makes no difference, a dab wider but you don't have to position your switches etc at the end of them of course.

That's what I've got on, can't remember product code. But they're practically standard, and tough.

All Renthals are too wide Imho, whenever I fit any of the roadbike bars (customers bikes)I normally cut about 20>25mm off each end which normally solves any cable problems.
Most of the Motorcross bars are too wide across the clamps and too short on the bar to fit everything on unless you leave them full width and even then the mastercyl/lever ends up virtually on the bend.
The best bars ive found for fitment wise are Gas Gas Trials bars, theyre narrow across the clamps and long bars, which can either be cut or laft unnaturally wide.
When ive raced naked bikes I always use oem bars with a renthal brace as they bend and can be re-straightened instead of alloy bars which just snap.
Have you looked into re-routing the wires? I'd see if you can find the slack before you start adding bits of wire. Also, if you're adding wire, I'd suggest you do it under the tank where it's not seen.

hey guys i have added some renthal ultra low bars to my curvy and im having some problems.
all leads and lines are very tight
when i ride along then stop the bike revs at around 4k is this becuase the throttle cabels are being streched or is it becuase of the choke ..... im thinking choke and left switch plastic bit
also the leads rub on the indy brackets ... so my plan to fix that part is to drill 2 holes in the silver metal bits that hold the light on and stick them there and cut off the metal bracket that are on the forks.
has anyone elsa had this problem? how did you fix it?
and if worse comes to worse then im going to cut the bars down a bit

ok my pointy i loosened off the wiring holder things and pulled some more wire through, cables are all fine, and got some custom length brake lines made, and re routed the throttle cable's
and who ever sead they are to wide is talking cobblers in my opinion , if you think the renthals are wide you should try some MT-03 handle bars  they are huge

how much did your custom brake lines cost ? atm i have goodridge race lines on my bike but they seem a bit tight at the master cyclinder but the more i think about it i think i might have put one on upside down.
how did you reroute your throttle cables did you still go through the middel of the forks ?

and throttle cables were routed back through the frame and then through the opposite side of the frame giving about 3-5cm more play

I have a little rubbing but no over revving or stretching, but before i did the tweak when i turned right the choke would pull on.

those are the lines, just send them a message and ask if they would add 5-10cm's on she will say yes then order them and put how much longer you want the lines in the comment box when you pay
i fitted ultralow renthals....rerouted clutch, throttle and switchgear and have had no issues...only thing i needed were longer hel brake hoses £50'....job done;)......just carefully reroute them
