Can you mention any retailer of day to day items who is prepared to pass on the so called tax cuts. I think these changes aren't for Joe public but to make it easier for the traders to continue in business a little longer.
Am I wrong or have they said they will reduce the VAT on beer tobacco and fuel but increase the tax?

Nope you're not wrong.

Give with one hand and take with the other. I'm not surprised.

These cuts don't take effect till Monday so retailers will have next to nobody in their shops this weekend:rolleyes:

Bravo Labour. Massively increase our government debt to borrow our way out of a recession caused by borrowing. Talk about digging yourself out of a hole. FFS.

+2 but replace it with KT...

I've been getting my usual dose of chronic 'wander-lust' again today, seriously been thinking of jacking in the lot, buying a tourer and F*&%'ing off until I run out of money (that unfortunately won't take long...)

The day I FINALLY clear my student debts will be an interesting one, as the ties keeping me here/in my current job will be lessened considerably.
