When setting off for the North Wales 4 rideout, I stopped to fill up at the Texaco petrol station in Ruthin. When I stopped I failed to spot the pothole by the pump, result was the front wheel rolled into the pot hole after I put her on the side-stand, bike fell over and broke off the mirror (panniers and crash bungs saved the rest). I filled out an 'incident report' and wrote to them to claim for a new mirror. 6 weeks later and a cheque arrives through the post (this morning).

So top marks to Malthurst Ltd for not trying to wriggle out of it and paying for damage caused to my bike by the damaged surface.

No, pot hole still there last time I looked. TBH there were several pot holes, especially around the pumps with diesel on them. I rarely use this station as they were pricey, but lately they have brought the prices down to the local average. I'll check next time I'm there.

They do get a lot of bikes in there as it is at the end of "the N. Wales TT" road, so it would pay them to sort the forecourt.
