View Full Version : sv650s sk1 2001 £300 South London
22k miles
1 previous owner
Serviced yearly
I've been knocked off this bike twice, and haven't repaired it.
Every fairing has a scratch and the tank is dented.
It needs:
Right hand front indicator
Set of tyres (I have a 2nd set I took off my new SV)
Battery
Can (Someone kindly stole mine, while it was parked up, I then looked for the original which I'd left tucked away in my front garden and that had been stolen too!)
TAX & MOT (Passed MOT no problem last time)

GRR the one night I don't get my laptop out as soon as I get home......
On the offchance this hasn't already gone (ha ha) I'm very interested.
7th dibs :)
£400 if it swings it my way!
People have asked for pictures. I'll try and get some. As I said, all farings are damaged and so is tank. Frame and engine are sound as a pound.
I've never had any mechanical problems with it.
I also have a couple of spare wing mirrors.
Apparantly I'm selling this too cheap, and should put it on ebay. Personally I would rather that it went to someone from sv650.org. I'm open to these higher offers. It means that Christmas might not be so bad after all ;)
The bike can be viewed in the evening or on Sat morning / Sunday.

As unpopular as it might make me, the truth is, even absolutely battered its still worth around £600. Would easily make a cheap track bike.
If you are not desperate for the cash, i would say break it, the frames, engine, wheels, forks etc will all fetch decent money. But selling it all in one lump is nice and quick and easy :)

Agreed
Wheels - about £250 a set
Discs and claipers - £100 the set
Engine - £300-400 alone
Frame with v5 - £200
All the other stuff will sell easy. I reckon over a £1000 broken to be honest. Ok a bit of effort needed but easy enough.
thats not to mention all the little odds and sods that really add up!
I recent did this with a crm250... i would have got £600 for the bike as one.
But stripped it down (took about an hour for the full strip) .. listed all the bits on ebay and in one night took £1400 in buy it now stuff.
When i do this to a bike i list all the stuff at reasonable prices and buy it now only. Id rather put the stuff on and it sell easily than be stuck with loads of bits that i have asked too much for.
Its a bit of hassle ... but an extra £500 or so at this time of year is generally worth the 3-4 hours of your time :)
