Old piece of junk, usually struggles but starts, won't start & I've been trying ages* Battery's on charge so not that




*trying as in turning the key, giving it a rest, trying again. Not doing anything mechanical :roll:

if its a petrol try new plugs
if its a diesel it will need new glow plugs

our corsa does that if it goes damp.

Leave it a while so the plugs will dry out. Charge battery, and try again.

Thank's all for the suggestions I can't see me actually doing anything to it - bikes are OK but cars bleah

So where do I spray WD40 for one last try before I call breakdown?

Take the pipe off the airbox that goes into the engine. Spray brake cleaner down there.

Normally if this is what's needed to start it, then it won't keep the engine running. You checked for air in your fuel system?

No, too embarassed even the breakdown operator said "Gosh that's old isin't it?" from the model, she obviously didn't twig at the reg.

And you may have guessed I'v given up & called breakdown.

Well it's cold & dark now :D

It'll be lucky if it's got petrol! you mean it only needs air :shock:
