Just phoned what i thought was nws from their website about to order up a stand however. Turns out it was pyramid plastics, and was told that the guy making the NWS stands has retired so they dont have them available. The guy said he was looking into the stands but couldnt tell me anything as of yet.Looks like this means will have to go for the abba one then. Just thought would give you that info.

The NWS name had been taken over by Pyramid a few years ago now, they bought the plastics side of the business. Later on the engineering side of NWS went bust and it all shut down, one engineer bought the rights to the NWS stand and started to manufacturer them himself using a website called bike-stands.co.uk (I think). Unfortunately things didn't go to plan and he has ceased trading, Pyramid bought out the remaining stock and sold them on Ebay.

They pop up every now and again on Ebay, but sometimes you have to wait for a while which doesn't fit in to you maintenance plan.

Such is the way of the world... NWS stands will probably be worth more now that you can't get them.

Speak to Abba (http://www.abbastands.co.uk/) or have a look on Ebay (http://motors.shop.ebay.co.uk/items/Motorcycle-Parts-Accessories__abba-stand_W0QQ_catrefZ1QQ_flnZ1QQ_fromfsbZQQ_sacatZ147 80QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em282?_trksid=p3286.c0.m28 2), make sure you get the right fitting kit.

I bought an abba stand as I couldnt get an NWS one either , very impressed though its a good piece of gear . I can imagine it being expensive and a pain in the ar$e if you have multiple bikes though .

Does anyone have a lathe? I need some cone shaped adaptors making for my Bjorn Again stand (It's an Abba-style affair, so got an Abba-esque nickname)

Glad I just picked up the Ulti-mate stand for £40 then. :D

Sorry for the de-rail Aaron, but I'm just curious, what's the advantage of a NWS stand (haven't even seen one) over let's say an Abba stand? Got an Abba myself and I'm pretty happy with it.

Advantages of NWS are no need for adaptors to fit each bike, you work it with your foot which I find easier as I've got both hands on the bike when it's lifted, and when when on the stand it's more stable.

I've owned both stands and I'm very pleased I've got an NWS now they're hard to get.

My Bjorn Again stand is foot operated, makes life a whole lot easier when dealing with larger bikes like Busas

+ 1, and also it can be fitted to any symmetrical hole or allen head on any bike so you can remove the swingarm without having to buy yet another kit. It was cheaper too.
