Sat on one at the bike show. Very comfortable.
Factory fit heated grips, computer thing, ABS, brembos, acrapovics (on official accessory list) looks well equipped.

Looking at the specs; 87bhp, 86nm torque... Doesn't sound like it'll set the world alight. But is that around double the SV's torque?

The looks are growing on me, I like the leftfield design (like the superduke) and the fact that these will be quite rare.

Wonder if it would be a big enough upgrade from the SV, to justify the cash. Maybe better to go to a litre naked, or SS600 for thrills.

The k1300r is a 173bhp monster so there is no middle ground with BMW either.... Apart from the HP2 Sport 133bhp (but £14500: why wouldn't you get a 1198 or RC8?).

Would be interested to hear your thoughts!

My brother got an F800 a couple of years ago, ABS very poor and gearbox issues have ment it's been back to the dealers a fair few times, not impressed at all, he won't be getting another when he changes that's for sure.

Cheers Mark.

Not double the Torque no, 86nm is 63Lbft. SV is about 46Lbft...

It's a beemer. Nuff said.

Okay, I think you could get a MUCH better bike for your money. I do like the K2100R but other than that I don't much like beemers so my opinion is biased. ;)

109.6 bhp with 63ft/Ib, a proper SV that will set the world alight... ;)

I was wondering about that after i posted.

I think that the beermer might have been a better bike for me initially, but isn't enough of an upgrade from the SV for my next bike. I'll book a test ride though

£5995 basic price (heated grips, trip computer are £ extras) looks quite reasonable considering my SV cost £5.5k when I bought it.
